Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

If a player wants to sign with us that’s great but moving players on who would like to stay is not a great look , main reason is we signed that player to play for the Tigers , Joffa as a trade is nuts , he is coming to the age these guys really stand up he will have some solid players to help him out like Klemmer and Pappi , He was our best player last season in a team that got belted in the forwards all year , we removed the crap , replaced with good players now let’s start supporting here guys , now if a players is dragging his feet or disrupting the new way then that’s different , yes offer him up as he most likely would want to move on , Joffa and Ken to stay along with AD , if Mosses comes and he and brooks pair up then AD to centre or move on would be offered up I think
Joffa is a good solid first grader but come on if parramatta said ok we will take nofo and Joffa for Moses in 2023 the club would be stupid not to say yes. We have good forward depth coming through Teal Pole matamua etc and in the backs we have Staines Bula Toa Kepoa who can all cover nofo.
Not that parramatta would likely be interested but for heaven sake if they were interested we would be crazy not to at least look at it.
Moses Brooks and Douihie all in the same side for 2023 would likely make the 8.
We all thought Jackson "heart & soul" Hastings would not be traded, never say never

Nine News reporting the Broncos have launched a promotional campaign with the punchline that Brisbane is a one horse town. It is aimed directly at the Dolphins. I believe the Dolphins will be a very strong club in the long term. The Broncos are obviously worried.

Know one of the backers of the Dolphins and they should be scared especially with how the Broncos treated Bennett. He is on a mission for the next 5-10yrs to drive significant change.

If they have to advertise they are a one horse town then they are showing they’re scared.

Here are some of the bad takes I've seen in the last few pages:
  • Let's trade Joffa for Moses.
  • Latrell Mitchell is a bad player. Thank god we don't have him!
  • Bateman isn't here yet so therefore he isn't coming. What a terrible signing!

Have a look at the posters saying they'd trade Joffa....There's a link.

The club would be stupid for saying yes when everybody at the club is pitching setting Benji up for success and it’s clear Joffa is part of that. We need strong forward pack to set the foundation.

Joffa makes our forward pack better hands down & he isn’t a solid first grader, he is above average - last year infact with zero help he ranked across the board top 20 forwards in the comp.

Hastings was never part of our future - you keep throwing this out. It was always clear he wasn’t apart of our future plans, he didn’t want to play lock and wasn’t signed past 23 season especially once Bateman was coming.

Play this through. What do we really gain for 23 if he joined? - this year is never about winning the comp it’s a step year.

Moses hasn’t trained at all with us, zero combinations or structure plays. It would take better part of half season just the gel without injuries at best. We then have to work out formations with all the other moves it makes if we have Brooks, AD and others remaining. Bateman is already unlikely to play early rounds also. We have a bunch of our starting spine not even contracted beyond this year.

The benefit would be he starts building combinations with key players ready for 24 but again why sacrificing a key forward piece for a small benefit.

23 was never going to be the year we go for it, it’s a step year. Successful clubs hold assets they want to keep and let go of ones they don’t.

Each to their own, I wouldn’t trade him you would. Doubt we will find out anyway.

Yes Joffa played great last year in a side where we came last and a very ordinary forward pack.

Joffa is not a better front rower than klemmer and Stef has way more upside. We even have Pole coming through

Joffa is not a better second rower than Papali or Bateman

Is he the ballplaying lock we want probably not

Joffa is a bench front rower on good coin and the onpy forward worth some coin you could possibly trade
Jedi mate you got this all wrong…

What if they said we want Brooks for Moses, we would be silly not to let him go to get Moses for this year

Honestly the broncs have all the south east qld corporate dollars. The Cowboys are a one team town and the dolphins have a goldmine there at Redcliffe with the leagues club. Deadset the Titans are struggling with 3 teams in qld, I can't see them surviving 5 years with 4 teams in qld running around now. Destined to be another failed Gold Coast team.

I don't believe in these trades. They basically never happen. Parra refused to release IP and Stef. I can't see how they would release Moses.

We'd be loony tunes though not to release Brooks for Moses.

Just to be clear though - Moses hasn't signed with us officially and he may not and I think there is basically no chance of getting him for this season.
