Referee and Officials Thread

Curious whether the NRL are going to wheel out Klown for one of our home games in 2023, I will definitely attend IF they do. Give us our points back! Klowns a w@nker! So many chants ready to go.

I am expecting to get him at least twice and another couple of times making an even bigger fool out of himself in the blunder bunker. So probably 4 times over the year.

offically heaps missing here, ive got some time for 1 of you, but the other 2 can run along.David Bowie - lets dance .Officials have been doing their best, its when the riff raff milk it for everything,is when it needs to be stomped on,

Did anyone think that Titan player scored the last try of their game legally. Sure looked to be a dropped ball to me.

Reviving an old thread --

Did anyone see the Panthers v Knights game? Tago's highshot on Ponga. Shoulder direct contact with chin. Put on report and penalty. No sin bin let alone send off.

Am I losing my mind? Have I fallen into the one-eyed cognitive bias I've always fought against? This is very similar to Olam's tackle (some could even say Olam bounced off the chest) and yet a totally different outcome. I applaud that cooler heads prevailed but why wasn't that the case in the Tigers game?

In 2024 we've had 15 sin bins and 1 send-off. Not getting the 50/50 calls is one thing but if that happens every game then statistically that's no longer a 50/50. In fact, that becomes a 1 in 56.21 chance. Something smells fishy here more than the usual unconscious bias against the teams lower on the ladder. Got me wanting to quote Coach Toovey...
