Robbo has mentioned it before I think it was on NRL 360. He has a philosophy that teams can only be competitive in Cycles, roughly every 4 years there needs to be a roster turn over to ensure the Roosters remain a top club consistently. Go back and look at their results since he first started coaching in 2013 and you will be surprised how true that is with the roosters. Last year was the year where Robbo wouldn’t of expected the Roosters to be one of the top sides as they had 5 retirements the year prior, some aging legs remaining in the side and a lot of youth getting more and more game time. Reminds me a lot like their 2016 campaign.Chooks have a ageing roster and play a physical style of football
This year they will build off the back of a mini rebuild last year and be top 4 again.
I wonder if Ivan is thinking the same. It’s been 4 years since a less than successful 2019 campaign for the Panthers and a lot of roster movement over the past two years. Won’t surprise me if the roosters leap them on the table.
