There's some good context here about Cavanagh, and I'll agree he is probably a goose. The thing is WT leaders are in an echo chamber, only hearing the sound of their hands patting their own backs. I have a mate in the NSWRL who was literally laughing at Pascoe and the tigers over their cheap KFC sponsorship when I saw him a few days ago, when I said it's old news his reply was "nothing's changed".

I would have gone to war for Pascoe and the club when the 6 month ban was dropped, the history is all here. What I realised more recently is that the club is very selective about what matters to them (CoE, P&L graphs with NO NUMBERS) , and very quiet about the culture of non performance being ok, and the associated collateral...I.e the spoon, repeated rejected publicly by marquees, no final, the guy hiring the coach hiring himself.

Anyway despite it all, feel a bit more optimistic this time of year, like a junkie saying they'll quit after one more hit. I respect others on the forum are happy with things as they are and no one should feel bad about feeling good. Just feel semi-decent management would go a long way, but hope the players get it done regardless.

The buck stops at the top and yes both Lee and Pascoe need to take ownership of last year’s diabolical efforts. In saying that, these things need to be kept in house and delt with in house.

From what I have seen over the past few months, things are moving forward and the club is making the right moves. The last thing we need is a offical airing dirty washing and giving brainless jurnos like Danny Wezzel the opportunity to write rubbish

Very good. As Hagipantelis said recently, nothing he or Pascoe does has any bearing to on field performances, and if anyone can point to such circumstances, then he would happily resign. Following that, it shouldn't come as a surprise that someone could or would challenge that assertion.
If Cavanagh is suggesting Pascoe should lift his game, then perhaps he is more than happy to go before the board and present his case.
This is a case of Pascoe and Hagipantelis not accepting criticism and going after the messenger. That tells us everything that's wrong with the organisation, and why players come for the money and leave to better their careers.

I had those same thoughts. Based on all the video we've seen and what the players have said, it seems like Benji is really in charge. Sheens is just there for a guiding hand and to steer him in the right direction.

He has probably read our forum where we have taken shots at Justin and Lee and whilst the CEO has a significant impact on an organisation, there are many others that also have had a stake in the crap we have dished up the last 10 Years. As many have said Winning takes away a lot of the garbage being written and said.

This is another example of the media looking for drama when other teams have had much worse this off-season. Would you swap our off-season for the Dragons? Ummm. No…
