I'm going to have to watch that uncontested catch again but I thought it actually hit another WT player standing in front of Laurie. If that's the case, Laurie can be expected to assume that other player would catch, or even attempt to catch the ball. I could be wrong, though.

Yeah, we are in a rough spot IMO.

I think it was clear to everyone that the 1 and 7 were not up to it last season.

But Sheensy has come in and basically backed Luke to the point where he is not getting dropped even if we are 0 and 10. There won't be change, even though it is needed.

Isn't this what we expected ? It was Api's first game. I think he'll come good. Doueihi did some good stuff. He has to take better options including just running it but he was probably our best player. Brooks came up with big mistakes at critical times. Laurie doesn't go hard for the high ball as a fullback. I don't see how you replace them though for a while.

Jake Toby is playing in State Cup and is still a 100% improvement on Laurie . Said this last year and got laughed at, our fans are happy losing.

Sheens won't replace them...def won't replace brooks.

I am hoping he at least has the balls to start things rolling though...Nofaluma gone, Tupou in.

Stains has completely outplayed Nofaluma so far...and Tupou is in form, younger, faster, and bigger. It is time.

Whether Lee 'allows' Nofa to be dropped though...who knows.

They were his wrong side unfortunately. Tough kicks and the last under a lot of pressure.
 
Laurie was channeling Timid Timmy today standing and watching the ball bounce rather than putting his body on the line. Inexcusable, must not play fullback again. Give him a run with AD in the halves, can't be worse than the incumbent. Brooks and Nofa must go ASAP.
 
Nofa is disappointing. Good for a few brain snaps per game.

Always looking to create though, might be a 7 in the making under sheens
 
I thought Brooks was invisible last season, he was even moreso tonight! Doueihi had taken upon himself to play both 5/8 and halfback, captain and goal kicking. Way too much responsibility for someone with such shaky form

thats the problem...The kebab king thinks he is WTs,you know demand to play 5/8 expect to be captain,be goalkicker,kick in general play and miss tackles...please...let Brooks have a kick at goal.let HIM do his job and maybe the guy could start getting some confidence in his game and being who we thought he could be...
 
We saw today why the Tigers and looking for a half with a footy IQ and why we have not signed Laurie.

Brooks had a shocking game....nothing between his ears, you can see AD is frustrated with him.

Laurie, makes fundamental fullback mistakes that cost us results....no excuse for letting the ball bounce off a kick like he did twice today...As soon as he is eligible Bula will get a run at -fullback...he scored a slashing try in the Magpies win...

Nofo joins Brooks as having no footy (or any other IQ)....we should offload him

Disappointing result today...they let 14,500 fans down....
