Ok, but shouldn't his be the calm head, leading the team for better percentage results?Sheens alluded to it in the press conference. He’s trying to generate points by going for the big play too often. Just leads to errors. That comes from years of being the only threat and playing in a beaten side. Needs to learn to be patient and pick the right moments. Others don’t help with simple errors.
Yes. That’s on him. I’ve said it before he looks to have lost his confidence. Hopefully the coaches can help him find it again. I don’t think this reborn 2005 narrative helps him.Ok, but shouldn't his be the calm head, leading the team for better percentage results?
Agreed. I don’t get all the hype. Pole is better than him and so is Atasi James.I hate it when Twal gets the ball … he never does anything… it’s just a dead play
That was a horrendous blunder. But ... at least he was injecting himself into the game and trying to make things happen. I watched Brooks very, very closely today. Wherever the ball seemed to be - he wasn't.I thought we were the better team. You discount the handling errors we were the better team. I’m a fan of Laurie but letting the ball bounce is inexcusable. I’m calling for him to be dropped. Plus he made several handling areas.
I remember 4 handling errors if you include not contesting the bomb ....1 maybe iffy pass but he should of eaten itThat was a horrendous blunder. But players can have a bad day. If we got rid of everyone who played a stinker in the first match of the season we'd only have six teams in the comp. I thought he was trying too hard. A little more thought in the execution and things could have broken differently. The difference is I wasn't seeing Brooks doing much of anything. Which is odd because Doueihi was creating problems which should have given him more space to operate in. I get that people are disappointed with Brooks and he's getting perhaps more stick than he deserves (he's never had a great team around him). But ultimately he could end all of that criticism by playing to his potential.I remember 4 handling errors if you include not contesting the bomb ....1 maybe iffy pass but he should of eaten it
Nope. Sheens overhyped the team just like he overhypes our juniors.
He has a much better roster than Maguire had, and there should be significant improvement this year.
I call him the KOP - King Of PlodIs it just me or does Twal look easy to tackle. I've been watching him and it seems like as soon as he is impacted in a tackle, he is dominated straight away. It's like he is so top heavy that all you need to do is chop him low and he'll fall like a tree (no leg drive or power). Maybe explains why he still hasn't scored a try. He needs to seriously work on grit and fight in attack.
Don't get me wrong, he is fit as hell and passionate, but I doubt any opposition would fear him.
Did you see the errors by Stefano, Kepaoa, Daine? That’s under 10s rubbish. So the press conference was "Reasons not excuses"
Yep unforced errors killed is. AJ Kepaoa was guilty of that too.You want positives? A lot of the team ran over 100m. Many of the forwards did, Stefano had 95m and Pole would have easily if he had played the minutes Kepaoa did.
The play makers have to take the blame here. They were given a platform but didn't create much or weren't able to build pressure.
