Am I being too negative about today's performance ??

The game to me felt like a similar story to our first trial - could see the good intention, but execution let us down. Came out in the second trial playing the same game plan but executed better and look at the result.

I'm of the belief we catch a few more of the passes and Laurie doesn't let the bombs bounce and we actually win that game. Wouldn't of been a great win but a win nonetheless and for a new team playing together for the first time we would of all been happy with the W - thankfully, these things can be fixed...compared to what looked like a complete lack of enthusiasm and a gameplan from the last few years.

Klem was pretty awesome as well, didn't shy away from work and went at it all day, our forwards laid a decent platform and didn't take a backward step. Our backs just need to gel and need to be crisper on the ball movement and pass selection. In saying that though the stupid errors we make need to leave our game before we find any real consistency. We made 3 errors that led to 3 tries.

That's always been a criticism of Klemmer. He has a slow PTB. It's why he fell out with rep selection. Other than that he's a great player.

Can't believe we didn't leave a spot open in case someone became available or if there was someone who was absolutely killing it in the lower grades or even if we needed to desperately promote someone due to a serious injury.

Still 9 more rounds to go before we can use any of these lower tier guys and it's not like we would get any special dispensation from the NRL if there was a serious injury, after all, we aren't the Roorters.

We could ship off one of our duds to rugby, England etc etc
