My title thread refers to the nuggety little former EELS Hooker who played one 1st grade game back in 1989. I was once a huge fan of the now NRL 360 (vice captain), but not so in the past couple of years.
He used to speak passionately about a topic and he was measured with his comments and his research was thorough! Sadly in my opinion he has lost his way, and his continuous over talking of his fellow panellists has me regularly reaching for the TV remote control to switch channels. I am finding the crazy phone calls made on the BIG SPORTS BREAKFAST by a listener who has the nickname of the "NARK" more palatable than to listen to the often unnecessary rantings of PK! I believe he can reinvent himself by limiting his overopinionated comments and just listen more often to his colleagues. I would love to see the latest NRL 360 ratings as I am sure they have nosedived since battling Benny the Bronco Ikin left the show?

From the thread title, I was hoping that Tucker Carlson may have finally spoken with some truth and stopped deceiving those that believe and trumpet his nonsense.

I think Bolts and Stan ZZZZ are and were popularly referred to as SHOCK JOCKS. In respect of PK I think he is confused about his role on NRL 360, though I assume he has been given the green light to serve it up to Buzz as much as he likes. Anyway I do have the remote to no longer listen 🙃
 
Meh, still the best league show to get my league news IMO.

I do miss Iken though, I liked his dynamic with PK.

I'm in the minority that don't mind PK at all. Definitely don't agree with everything he says, but he is measured in how he brings his points across. Don't mind people speaking their minds.
 
Fox really seems to be putting the boot into the WT's ...even when Fletch and Hindy interviewed Vlandy's the Flopper said we should go back to 16 clubs and kick the Tigers out ....

I agree we have done some dumb crap lately ...but it seems to be going slightly overboard .....the Bateman stuff was on the agenda again the other night

But I agree with what Kent said .....if a player was going to England they wouldn't have to acclimatize .....Carayaanis mentioned something similar to what I said originally ...give him a simple role in the middle 3rd at 13 for 25 minutes

I think the acclimatizing story seems like crap myself .......and if Lee hasn't blatantly lied to the fans ...well shouldn't he have to answer to someone ...

I think I’m of the age just before the switch to “click articles/media” before the media would create story’s then comment on the stories they created and call it content. I used to love reading everything in the tele/BLW I could on the sport and watch everything I could on 9 through footy show / wwos. Now it’s like every article headline has “crisis, drama, blow up at training etc..” the amount of media given the two panthers players having a on field disagreement was insane. The crazy thing is even though they are attacking the sport that pays their salary and seems counterintuitive, it works. It’s just a shame cause with all the exposure that we could have with television access and 24/7 dedicated NRL channels we could have some amazing NRL content instead we have bwaith telling us how shit wests are and how the player he represents is worth 4.5 Billion per season. Agree it is a disgusting thing to repeatedly happen ...but the press will take it too far ...you watch

I started to read it but tapped out when it referenced 1 possibly 2 teenagers who acted stupid. So the 12k Penny fans who just cheered or jeered are now all racist? It’s insane. Plus they are talking of banning for life? Educate the kid. Banning/ ostracizing
him/her will only cement their actions in their mind. The media is making me feel for Penrith that’s how out of wack it’s got.


P.S. add to that it was a great game. LM flick was fantastic and MCK nearly did it again. So many great stories from that game but the game doesn’t seem to matter. Drama does.

I still think Penrith need to face punishment if it continues to happen ....this is the 2nd incident in a short amount of time .....Penrith needs to take responsibility for the fans they let into the Stadium

I could be wrong but it seems it was reported to security by other fans? Again, wish nothing for the worse on the field for Penrith but in this case the minority of that crowd is being reported as the majority of Penrith fan base. The headline “Penrith racists drama” vs “teenage moron does something moronic” . Which one sells.

Sorry mate .....I'm not arguing the press overexaggeration .....maybe more that Penrith have now had a few racism issues with their crowds recently .....I don't think clubs should be able to shrug it off and say " we can't control the words and actions of our fans "

West Ham (my EPL side ) have had major issues with their fans in the not so distant past with racist and religious slurs and I think they need to take some accountability as well .....
