We keep doing this mate. How about this. I've seen you admit as a running 6 he can do the job. That is his role. That is how the coaches have played him the whole of last season and this season.

We know he isn't a good creative half in the attacking zone.

He also did things he is meant to do as a halfback. He put in a great 40/20 for instance. He defended well. He didn't make mistakes which meant his pass selection was good. These are all important parts of the game. He did also create a play that Doueihi stuffed up that would have put us right back in the game. He can also do these things as a running 6.

The issue with our halves was that Doueihi who had a lot of opportunities was atrocious.

I can't believe he was given the role this season based on inept performances and being injured his short career.

The coaching staff are performing terribly so far.

My take on the game....
AD needs to realise he doesn't have to do everything. So many plays broke down because he couldn't give it up.
Forwards lope into the defensive line. Every time they get the ball they skip and dance and stutter step....run the damn ball forward and hard.
Ball handling....hold onto the goddamn ball.
200 passes a training session? Doesn't seem to have worked because at times we just throw the ball in the air and hope for the best. Lots of passing doesn't equal good passing.
David Nofoaluma....worst player on the park highlighted by his 360 degree dosey do before flinging a hospital pass to the first tigers player he saw resulting in a smashing and dropped ball. If he never wore our colors again it would be too soon. Actively regressing every single game and surely has the most run sideways metres in the game.

I watched the game and Brooks was atrocious.. he does not do the job of the halfback and the entire team respond accordingly!!

Agree with most of this.As for passing 200 times at training our coaching staff have to be completely inept to not realise that QUALITY is far superior to QUANTITY.

I'll throw this in, there are a few players that may have their minds on different surrounds even though their committed to the club. Steph, Nofa and AD played way below an acceptable standard yesterday if they keep doing it they are no use at all to the club.

I didn't want Hastings to go but I'm not that sure he would have been the difference. He did some things that should have handed the game to us on a platter - the Channel 9 team (yes I know it's channel 9) were quite critical of Hastings performance.
Interestingly, they weren't of Brookes (and I am one who wants him gone). But, that may be because Joey is still of the opine he can make something of him.

He was our best player. Seriously go and watch the game. I crucified him last week. I'm watching players very closely and seeing who is performing and I'm not being biased.

The 3 big issues were Stef, AD and Nofo. Nofo wasn't the reason we lost but he offered next to nothing.
 
I can't fathom people saying Brooks had a good game, was he worst on the field probably not. But his primary objective is to steer the ship we were rudderless, he had no real positive influence on the game. He couldnt shift the ball to where we had overlaps he couldnt lead the forward pack around, AD was no better but i think he felt like he needed to do everything because Brooks did next to nothing which affected his game and we all know AD can drop his bundle under pressure.
Both imo arent what we need as halves but we've been flogging the Brooks dead horse for 10 yrs he's not going to get better, its mutually beneficial for us and him to look elsewhere.
I must admit i thought with our offseason buys in my mind i was thinking it cant be worse than last year but i dont see anything there, our whole spine bar Api is useless and even Api looked crap.
Bringing Talau in 1st's from a huge lay off isnt making things any better a lot of the play breaks down with him too.
A lot of yesterday is on the spine but it's probably 60/40 spine/coaching calls.
 
OOOOOH DEEEEAR. I was afraid of a start like this......was Naden playing yesterday ? I didn't hear or see him until the last few minutes of the match, so that's not good, what was he doing, I thought they all looked pretty ordinary yesterday just the same as I remeber them last season, and look where we are on the ladder already....not good signs so far, and I think Api looks very disinterested, and he made a couple of mistakes too so did Pappali, oh dear.

Naden was playing injured. So much for that speech about not playing injured players.
