We at least have more fullback options than halfbacks. Something can be done this season at fullback

Not sure on Bula though, potential for sure but not sold on him as a long term Fullback yet. To’a won’t play 1 like he did last year unless we have no choice. Laurie has been poor in both games no support play from him whatsoever. If Staines does a good job on Sunday, I’d keep him at 1 and have Laurie in Cup.

The club had some major concerns about Laurie last year, his 2 games thus far have done nothing to dispel these doubts…I don’t see him being offered another contract, it’s clear there is not much interest outside WT, unless he drops his asking price significantly

Agree. He's average but he does a job. Him and Miller would be a huge improvement on the dummies we have now.

Apparently he’s injured his MCL but yet he posts pictures on his social playing golf. Now I understand players have lives outside the game, but if you are injured wouldn’t you be doing activities that could potentially injure you even more?

Just basing that from watching him in Cup. First game he was brilliant, second not so much. The potential is there, but I don’t think he will be ready for a while yet. Hard for me to say confidently that I see him as our next long term 1.

I think he’s ok but I wouldn’t say he’s the best. Under the high ball from memory he was alright since he usually was taller than the opposition, but he seems himself as a 6 and the club want to keep him there. For now anyway. I don’t think he’ll go play 1 again unless we are desperate and want to try something else, or we have no other choice.
