I thought Offa was poor today.

He's a put him on for 20 minutes to give someone a rest and tell him to just tackle plodder. He should never touch the ball. He's a waste of a tackle.

He was excellent considering the Heat and his 1st game.
Once we find a halfback who controls the game he will be even better.
He was unlucky not to score and that is his game all over as he knows how to read the game.

Hang on, I was talking about Joffa not Bateman. I thought Bateman was good first up, I was in dispute coz I thought someone was high rating Joffa, who I don’t rate.

An actual hard nosed effort based footballer.
Stupidly hot day, first game in Australia in a few years and never stopped.
A bit of aggro and a lot of effort - hopefully some of the others who regularly make zero effort were watching.

I was very much against signing him but he had a great game today and was one of the individual players who dragged us back into the game

His play is likely Murray and Radley in that it makes no sense that a guy smaller than everyone hits the hardest and runs the strongest through the line. He was really good. I was not excited by his signing.

Hopefully he, API and Klemmer pull this team up to their standard rather than going the other way. I see real quality in the new signings and just hope they don't drop to our level.

Yeah I agree. I think he’s been quite poor so far this year. Hopefully things change quickly

I reckon our new signings look great. Remember when we got Mbye. Api hasn't been at his best but you can see the class and his effort today was huge. Staines to me has been good. Bateman was great. Klemmer was starting to make some busts. I reckon IP will be great for us and I don't think he has been bad at all.

Some great signings but the coaching staff got it so wrong in relation to our spine in the pre-season.
