I'm not losing hope for this year, not discounting how awful the team has been through these first 3 rounds, but the forward pack has actually been very solid.
We are not seeing teams just roll through the middle with ease as we have in the past couple years. Seeing some real sting in defence and a bit of controlled aggression that's been missing for a long time. And they are making good meters with ball in hand, getting good PTB speed in the process.
Easy to see the 1,6,7 combination is the problem.
All the strike players were on the left but every sweep play went right yesterday. Up and under kicks to Toa/Nofa's wing when you have Tupou and Naden on the other side just boils my brain.
Let's hope they can take some momentum from the last 20min of that game into next week. I'm not sure what the solution is, but I don't think we are as far off as some think.

My frustration is about how close we've been, only to see the guys paid to ice it have shockers. The first two games shouldn't have been close, let alone a loss.

Hopefully Melbourne's half back (Hughes) will get suspended after last weeks contact on a player's head with his shoulder charge .. he'll get suspended .. ?? We might get to see this Pezet in action against us.

Yet again this season is a write off, spend the entire season blooding juniors. The only silver lining that could come out of this season. Get 10-15 games on the board for some youngsters.

What's the latest on Moses? Any chance he may come back? Feels like it's just a matter of time before he resigns with the Eels but was hoping someone may have an insight. As much as some don't rate him, he'd be huge for us.

Kade Dykes (although out for this season with ACL injury) will be the long term fb at Sharks. If Kennedy gets a good enough long term offer elsewhere he may consider the move.

I expect Dykes to replace Moylan at 5/8th and they will keep Kennedy at the back.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Kennedy gets 2yr extension.

Would love to have him here and think he would be very much what we need - just don’t see it from what I have heard.

But hey if we offer him 800-1m and 5yr deal guess would be hard to say no - Moses hasn’t said yes for alot more.

Yeah fair call. Dykes seems to have the skillset to be a quality number 6 and Moylan is getting on a bit now.

If Kennedy does end up leaving, he will probably end up in Gould/Ciraldo's seemingly Top 60 squad at the Bulldogs anyway.
