Team for the Broncos

On the basis of trying something different and a bit left field - here goes

Fullback: Douehie - only if he is fit
Wing: Staines
Centre: Naden
Centre: Brooks
Wing: Tupou
Five eight: Laurie
Half: Wakeham
Prop: Klemmer
Hooker: Api
Prop: Otikamanu
2nd row: Papalli
2nd row: Bateman
Lock: Pole

Interchange:
Twal
AJ
James - liked what I saw of him in the trials
Blore

Brooks or Doueihi in the halves one of them probably has to be there, purely through lack of any other options. Doueihi was trash vs the dogs and Brooks trash vs Storm. I really have no idea my preference is neither Brooks seems like he's closer to the exit door than Doueihi on that alone id go.

1 Laurie
6 Doueihi
7 Wakeham
Brooks 14 or KOE

I cant see us winning a game anytime soon and all because we have another coach that thinks he can fix Brooks.

Starford To’a vs Bears

1 try assist
1 line break assist
21 runs for 209m
6 tackle breaks
2 offloads
0 errors
73 PCM

How you should perform when demoted

(Nofo & Lauries figures were no where near Starfords)

I have no idea why he isn't getting more opportunities.

A genuine first grade outside back probably bags two tries in a big win.
I have no idea why he isn't getting more opportunities.

90% of the players are doing their job, and mostly very well. Being let down every week time and time again by guys in key positions playing below nsw cup standard. A competent 1/6/7 and there’s every chance we’re 4/4.

The forwards pick themselves but the backline is like shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic without having many alternatives
Bateman seems to be everywhere makes me wonder if he could be no 6 a bit like Munster Douehi at best is a center and Kepoa at best is a bench utility he's a better 2nd row so radical shake up

Got 4 wingers there but the ball never gets to our wingers as the play dies before it gets that far so which ones should be who's best under bombs
I've moved Douehi and Brooks away from the playmaking in the center of the field as last throw of the dice with instruction RUN - DRAW -PASS (put wingers into space )

Would like to see Simpkin back in the top team soon. Thought he looked good earlier this year before getting murderer by Saifiti.

Realistically across this season I think the team have done their individual roles okay but the cohesion and polish is lacking.

Cohesion will come with time. Polish will come with some spine players that can pull their weight.

Fix the 1,6,7 and the Staines wing (still unsure if he’s the answer) and most the rest of the team isn’t too bad.

Our pack has competed every week and the emergence of AJ, Tupou and resurrection of Naden sorts out 3/7 of the back 7. 4 spots up for grabs IMO.

Happy to trial any combos that do not include Luke Brooks.

Obviously, trying a new halves combination is fraught with risk but, surely, we can't do any worse. I think Twal should start with Stef providing impact off the bench.
Is is only fraught with danger when your close to a win. We are so fra off with our halves it's not funny. Not sure what Douhie and Brooks were doing in the off season tbh.

You can’t put Tupou at fullback, he doesn’t talk. Need a loud and efficient organiser there.

I'm just hoping they pull the trigger on Matamua at 13 this week. He’s green but for me the only hope of igniting something with the attack and forcing others to play straighter and faster.
Fonua’s best part of his game is just bending the line with a late offload.

Matamua 13, Pole bench, Seyfarth out
I’d throw Matamua in too
