Happy for the Luke Brooks transfer to Knights to never be mentioned again if we all agree that nobody knows how it went down.

Don't forget Brooks' salary is reported to be back-ended, so whatever he's earning now, he earned less in the first years of the deal.

I don't see how Knights could even ask us to chip in for a 2nd year (24) when Brooks wasn't contracted to us.

I'm sure (not certain) we could have got Brooks to Newcastle for 2023 with us chipping in, but then that's it. No chipping in a 2nd year.

I got the feeling in the Press C Sheen's know Brooks is done... Needs to work it so the club doesn't look bad offloading him. I hope he understands the member will be cheering if they offload him and not to worry

In the media it will probably be a damned if you do or damned if you dont resign him. So in saying that the club surely must be aware of this and we wont hear either way until we sign his replacement assuming we dont sign him again.

Other than that Brooks signing elsewhere we'd obviously hear something, we all know the media love to pile in on us and we don't half give them ammo to do it.

Basically said decision on Brooks should be done by Easter. Re-signing looks unlikely.

Agreed, his best years are ahead of him. I do think his impact is best utilised off the bench at the moment though.

Yeah same, think his body hasn't developed fully yet for the week to week grind of N.R.L. After all the waiting for Brooks to wake up, a few more seasons for big Steph is fine by me

I reckon we will get Moylan. Getting to the end of his career, previous injury concerns, form has been ordinary for the last 3 years and demands decent coin. Fit most of our criteria

Why would we want Moylan, his best playing days are done.

One thing I will never understand is Nofa gets dropped without much fuss, for what, having a big head, Brooks has never been dropped for mistakes galore bad play, but since his rise to first grade, I dont recollect him ever being dropped when in all the teams Brooks is the one player deserving of a stint in reserves.
He should be given an award for player most helpfull to opposing teams when playing the West Tigers.

Just dreaming …. but agree he is a great pickup and with his competitiveness and great overall playing ability he would provide us with exactly what we need. Add a good halfback to that and we are on our way.

I think it’s more that he feels his contract is about 30-40% below …. what the six million dollar man Is signing.
