We had 3 times the amount of ball on Parras tryline as they had on ours in the first half, our halves created nothing, Moses created 3 tries, ended up with 4 try assists

How was Staines at fullback apart from the mistake the commentators said he played well, did he look dangerous in attack?

He was really safe with the high ball today up until that mistake and in my opinion he runs the ball back with intent but at the moment just doesn't quite bust the line.

I think if he is given a good run at full back he will eventually start making those line breaks and will burn the opposition with his speed and it certainly wouldn't hurt if he backed up a bit more.

I would say that he is probably worth persisting with for the remainder of the season unless somehow we magically sign someone better or Bula manages to claim the spot after round 10.

1 positive is all our young players are playing well witch is what you would hope for at a development club

Staines was arguably our best player

Staines has the potential to be electric in attack but he really needs to improve his positioning and organisation of the defensive line. That will come with time though and I'm happy to live with the bad provided he can continue to progress into a weapon offensively.

reckon Aiden Sezer will be called upon to partner brooks in the halves this year and probably signs on 23,24 and x 25

said a few weeks ago Brooks gets a 2 year extension to be announced bye week, see how that goes I guess especially now AD injured and likely misses half of 2024

Anyone who watched the KOE game yesterday and thinks we need Smith, Laurie and Wakeham in the halves for a long stretch is on hard drugs. All three are useless, on a side note Jake Arthur went well yesterday and should be in first grade, could easily partner with Brooks.

Jake Arthur played well? He looked pedestrian. The Eels had 45 sets on our line and only managed 2 tries. Lumelume was the only one who looked like breaking the line - not that I'm advocating signing him.

I understand the dislike for Laurie but he did ok when he started playing in the line in the 2nd half.
