Doueihi does ACL again

There’s a tendon from your hamstring that’s used to reconstruct the ACL and it’s fed along the same path through your knee as ACL and screwed into your femur, it’s called a graph.
Sorry guys, yes my error meant to be graft. I’m in hospital on the good stuff at the moment so heads a bit all over the place.

Wishing all the very best to Adam Doueihi. Is the 3rd ACL on the same knee. Can’t imagine the mental toll of something like that. Hopefully supported as much as possible as he works his way back. Strong enough to come back twice, sure he will again. Speedy recovery.

On top of the horrible Doueihi news, Jordan Hill also did his ACL today aswell. With the injuries to backs, dare say he would have been a chance for NRL selection in coming weeks.

Given its happened now and if the recovery goes well, He’d be back in time for the start of next season. Unless it takes longer to heal, good chance he’s back by Round 1-2.
3rd time on that knee I doubt they rush it

I doubt he will be back for start of next year. It’s his 3rd in 5/6yrs on same knee. He is in for some serious extensive time off and potentially a review of his movements & running style. Could be 18mth layoff.

Medical release ASAP please 🙏

Medical release is effectively retirement.
Knowing Doueihi there is no way no way
In the world he would be betting
against himself to come back from this.
Worst possible news for him, he'll be back

Yeah I know

I feel for AD and trust he is able to recover. Too early to understand the extent of the injury but if it is an ACL tear the club has to exercise its duty of care and retire him. AD's desire to return shouldn't come into consideration.

His performance today was improved; however, still well below first grade standard. While several of his kicks were better than usual, and the bounce of the ball cost hm a 40-20, most of his kicks lacked control, direction and placement. How anyone can overlook his kicks raining down on the 30m line or skewing towards the touch line is beyond me. It is clear that the outside backs have no idea either as they don't know if they need to chase hard or stand back and wait.

As for a replacement? I have been wanting to see how Laurie goes in the 5/8 role but we haven't had an opportunity so far. His pre-season performance may well be the reason that Sheens hasn't used him. Wakeham didn't cut it and the word on Smith isn't positive either so he may be the last man standing.

Some tough calls need to be made soon.

Wasn’t Talau a 6 coming through the ranks?

Is slow, poor in defence, average passing game and likes to go himself when there are better options.

Could be a like for like replacement
Matamua was also a five-eight as a junior, but God help us if he's named as Doueihi's replacement

Poor lad....

Looked bad.
Saw a few like that over the years with the likes of Teddy and Moltz.

He was having a decent game too and defending well (for the first time this year)

Third ACL? Might be a dark road ahead for him.... I wish him the best. Truly believe he has a good team/support system around him.
Moltzen had a broken patella, same as Teddy and Papz.
