Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Thanks for that. Sounds like he has creativity we crave, but would be a risky signing. It has taken a long time for him to find some consistency which is concerning.
Not arguing but if there is a track record, albeit shorter than his previous one, it may be worth a punt for us.
It often takes people a while to realise they may not be putting in enough, especially if they were talented when younger. My older daughter was always musically gifted but skate by for years. It was only when she went the Australian National Academy of Music that she realised she actually had to work harder if she wanted to be a professional violinist.

I love what he can create. Short kicking game, opening up space for outside men, and running game. His attack when on is super creative.

Where is this quote from? I've seen Buzz Rothfield claiming Rush has said this. But I can't find any mention of it on the Saints feed. Very uncharacteristic for Mike to be saying anything on Lewis. It's been complete silence for months - which is how he usually handles business.
We need a litigation kill - this media monkey is slandering us left, right & centre … anyone know a good Lawyer?

I don’t get it, both Amone and Schuster are clearly 6s… surely we need a 7 no matter what??? Like, even if Brooks stays, surely it’s to play outside a steady 7??? Maybe there’s other names they’re chasing that we haven’t heard about…
Unfortunately for those that remember the 2000’s Sheens he moved Benji to half as it was his belief the 6&7 weren’t any different on the field

I hope your daughter has been able to achieve her dreams 🤗🎼🎻with the ANAM.

Arrived in Leeds with a huge gut and major fitness problems. Underachieved and was then sold to Huddersfield. Since arriving under coach Ian Watson he's really turned his career around. Maximised his potential. One of the most creative players in the game and regularly tops the assists table. Whether he's a #1 playmaker or a 1A - I'm not sure. But he's easily good enough ... under the right coaching.

Tui is a rare player with a huge array of talent and abilities, which had me singing his praises early on, and very excited when hearing of his signing with WT back in the day.

Sadly, we got the poor version of Lolohea, and I wouldn't give him a second chance based on his previous efforts.

Wayne is a master at identifying strong character. Same as Bellamy.

Tigers rumoured to be chasing someone accused of a hammer attack 😂😂😂
Just to clarify, who did commit a hammer attack. Have you seen the video.
He and Curtis Scott could make a ferocious set of centres, just don’t go drinking with them after the game.

Isn’t he a good goal kicker aswell
Would fill a void but I wouldn’t cream my pants like some on here
Interesting choice of words R. I’ll now have to explain that to my grandchildren .
I’ve got it, you were eating yoghurt and spilt it all over your pants. Phew.
Don’t you dare talk about goal kicking coz apart from a few stalwarts on here, nobody’s interested.
Got a tip though, Wakeham back in the side today and will assume goal kicking duties. Maybe that’s more a wish than a tip but think it might happen.

Ps Momo no worse than what we’ve got and comes out of a good system. ( no , not WT).

Paul Momo out of favour at the roosters. Always been pretty handy + good depth. Wouldnt mind him.
Didn't he give WT the old 1-2 when he left for Panthers? Something about moving on to become a better player?

When asked what made him think he was a better chance of playing centre at Penrith than at the Tigers, Momirovski said: “Just the internal conversations you have. There are also good people here around me who can help me get better as a player. Some of the allure was being around people you’re comfortable with and who you know can help improve you.”

I think that's a decent replacement for Talau in terms of depth and playing second string to Naden. specialist right centre, solid defensively and can find the line. left edges are where the magic happens, the right you just need solid attackers with defensive upside. besides Bateman on that edge creates plenty for us if people are worried about strike.

Yeah my fingers got sore typing all the things the team seem to be inept at which seem to be standard coaching stuff?
- ZERO Pressure or Kick Chase -
OMG! That does my head in, it’s the simplest thing to coach and achieve on field is it???
F me the bacics please 🙏 coach some.
But in saying that how long have they been playing footy for?
This has been my point of view for years. I keep seeing people say "send them back to reserve grade to learn the basics" and similar. Most of these guys have been playing footy since 6 years old. How uch longer do they need?? What can they possibly need to learn to play first grade that they shouldn't already know??? Sure, the game plan and plays specific to each team but they need to be in firsts to learn those anyway! The only thing any of them could hope to gain in reserves is confidence. The young fellas being dominated week in and week out takes a toll, sending them back to learn what winning feels like seems like mercy!

Who is making theses calls on players like shuster and amone , there not what we need , neither is a 1/2 back . We could be getting someone out of the lower grade ( nsw cup ) NOW , but even if we really want them two I don’t think there clubs would release them . Starting to get that feeling that maybe sheens and CO are not working out at all .
