Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

They do. For sure.

But there's context around Hastings' exit. The Bateman problem to say the least...
But people who know Bateman have come out saying it's rubbish and Bateman isn't the type of guy to dictate who he plays with. They reckon he would go into the trenches with anyone. Maybe another media beat up, like Dodd being told not to join the Tigers, only for the ceo who allegedly said to come out and say he never spoke to Dodd about anything remotely close to that.

What’s going on with Shawn blore? Why pick talua on the bench over blore it makes no sense has it been confirmed that talua is heading to manly?
Because Blore covers the back row while Talau provide cover for the outside backs and back row. In a time when their are multiple HIAs a game then you need to be able to cover your backs on the bench imo. It was Kepaoa and without him its Talau or even with him if Kep is playing centre. With the bench this week anyone can be injured and you can still cover them. Realistically without injures then most teams only use 2 players off the bench for any significant period.

Been that way since Melbourne Storm. Not sure why a wighton deal on 200k less a season is drawing headlines. Infact it's the only one that make sense. Has been making bank for 10 years and willing to take a 15% pay it to try and win a premiership.

How Souths, Penrith, roosters, Melbourne fit everyone under the cap should be the investigation - not that he's taking unders
As mentioned earlier its not about what Wighton agrees to take from Souths - its about the fact that 2 teams were prepared to pay over a million more for the life of the contract. Souths get away with paying way unders than his market value and no doubt will top it up with Rustys mates ( supposedly at arms length from the club ) throwing extra money at him. The NRL allow it and thats how the sides you mention fit their squads under the cap.

Munster re-signed with Storm for about $1.6M less than our offer didn’t he? Usually it works that the incumbent team has the advantage that a player will stay for less rather than go for less. Salary cap is not working in evening out the talent.
It didn't work for Canberra - incumbent team paying over a million more.

I'd look at Shaun Johnson. Off contract after this year. Is a veteran and found form again. Very Benji like in his play. Maybe sign him now for 2 and see if can get him early?

😂😂😂

Look at him all you like - He's not leaving his family in NZ again....
Especially since the 180 his form has taken since he went home.
(And how good the Warriors are playing)
I wish you luck....

He'll play for minimum wage at the Warriors before he leaves NZ again....

Without a contract for next season though. 200K Vs 600-700K may make him have a think (hopefully)

The Warriors are about to embark on their biggest pathways program in their history from the end of this year. I think SJ will be a big part of that.

This sort of talk is uncomfortable.
We all know the Rabbitohs get away with a lot, so it's unnecessary to bring race into it and he actually has history of mental illness (was it depression?) so it seems a little insensitive.

If nothing happens it'll be because it's the Rabbitohs.
What now we can’t even speak the truth , because it might upset a certain set of people , but they have every right to use it when it fits there needs . This forum does not need to go woke ,

that makes sense

I tend to agree.

Everyone is entitled to giving their opinion on the forum and the rules are pretty tolerant of this.

What truth is this? You've brought race (and mental health) into the conversation.
I don't see why this is a suitable topic to be discussing on a footy forum, especially as I don't think this is the reason the Rabbitohs get a leg up - in the NRL.
In all honesty I think mental illness is a rather delicate topic.

I heard International Dell say that on MMM. The payments would just turn up in his mortgage account, so other “unknown persons” were effectively paying his mortgage. Likely arranged by the Clydestales, the group of sponsors, businessmen and former players.
Just show up in his mortgage account, what bullshit!
He gave them his mortgage bank details, right. No surprise.

Now I notice Flanagan has been dropped by the Dogs this weekend in favour of the Grub.
Should Benji be on the phone or would Gus have a hissy fit !
And if so, who cares( not that Flanno is such a great prize).

speak the truth
It is just as likely economics as it is race, none of us know the details, he might not even know the value of whatever mystery benefits he is almost certainly going to get. It might also be he wants to win a comp. And it might be to play with a group with more First Nations players. I'm responding to you saying "speak the truth" - you don't know the truth.

I disagree with the rest of what you say too, but accept it is your opinion.
