Ambush have released a recording of their event, anyone who went out has listened and can provide a summary of what happened?
Some of the topics on the agenda include the governance and operations of the club, as well as the football side of things.

Opinions included:

  • The club isn’t connecting with the community
  • The club has poor attention to detail
  • The merger should be broken up
  • We have too many home grounds
  • There is a lack of opportunity for fans/members to have a voice
  • There is too much self-preservation in management
  • The club has poor communication channels/procedures
  • There is a poor culture within the football department

All of the above are points that have been harped on here. Crazy that some of these things havnt been looked at over the last few years. Different world they live in.

You obviously judged me - I'm 70. Andre and Wayde have been there way to long - the age was more about getting some younger fresher ideas on the board.
Wayde oversaw the Magpies in the mid 80s when they were almost booted. People say he saved them, but they were perennial battlers under his watch. WT have failed under his Directorship, the guy doesn't know what winning looks like.
I don't care how old he is.

What were the solutions offered?
And did you specifically suggest that Pascoe, Lee and the board all step down?

If Pascoe was any sort of a CEO he'd sack himself. He did say the buck stops with him..

These were presented directly to the club yesterday.

All those opinions, sans the merger breaking up, are all very relevant. I would imagine that opinion is pretty fringe.

In place of that, I would guess that more are worried about the club being forced to relocate due to rationalisation of the Sydney based teams and perennial underperformance.

Speaking of Dorahy - I'm still trying to find a clip of that try he scored in 86/87(?) where he conned the defenders into thinking the ball had rolled dead in the in goal, ran through their astonished cover and went the length of the field to score. My mates think I made the story up and now I'm beginning to doubt it really did happen!

Found this posted on front row forum -
John Dorahy playing for Norths against Manly in a mid-week Cup game in the eighties. He was fullback, and he was retrieving a kick from the dead ball line. The kick didn't go dead but he pretended it did just for long enough to stop the defence smashing him. He walked it over the tryline, then took off.

I remembered this you’re not dreaming.

I remember him conning the defenders, that definitely happened. I don't remember him running the length to score though. Plus he was pretty old by the time he got to Norths,I doubt he could have done it.
