Live Game Discussion
There is quite a significant gap emerging between our prop groups. We lost momentum and control of the game with Klemmer and Stefano off the field. Last three weeks has also felt like that. We're a much better team when Klemmer in particular is on the field. Stefano has also become a very good tackler lately. As soon as they came on I felt comfortable again today. I like joffa, but he's a little passive and paired with seyfarth it was too weak.

Solution ?

Start: Klemmer and Joffa
Rotate: Twal and Stef

Joffa has been abysmal in his appearances this year, imo.
And despite all the knockers, Twal has been outstanding.

I'd keep it as it is, I think you want the best props in when klem and Stef are playing but just need more from the bench. I also think Klemmer pushes Stefano when together. You see Stefano trying to match him.

I wouldn't say joffa has been abysmal, but he's not an impact prop.

13 Joffa ?

Pole to bench.

We extended Joffa eh.
I think we should've went a different direction tbh.

We won the game but geez call a spade a spade. We didn’t just win the premiership.

Brooks insipid hospital dumps to an inside flat footed forward is the hallmark of his crap career.
And repeatedly running that on the penultimate play of the set completely defines his lack of any ingenuity or play making ability.
The sad part is this was a bad game by any normal halfback standard, but a good game for him. He sucks.
What is a half supposed to do when there is no overlap out wide or his players are not in position? It's the safe play to reset and try again.

We still struggle to score points … could’ve easily lost it

For our team stats we should’ve scored another try or two
If Talau doesn’t try and trip the ball twice on the 4th tackle and Wakeham finds touch, I think we win by 10+. Wakeham also got lucky with the dropout. He seems let the pressure get to him and make simple errors. If he gets that out of his game he’ll really kick on for us.

Guys are harsh on Brooks. Yes, he wasn’t the best on the field, but his kicking game was decent, defended well and was invoiced in at least one try. I’m the first to give some constructive criticism, but today isn’t the day.

The Dragons are a tough side to beat. Considering we lost Bateman before kickoff and no Naden it’s a god result. As mentioned above I think we could have kicked away. It’s the errors at silly times that are costing us.

I think if you ask the teams we’ve versed in the last 4 weeks they will tell you the tigers are a good side. In fact, I think they all did.

Why can’t people praise the win, yet draw a critical eye across the performance?
We’ve lost games this year where we were the better team, however today was one of our worst efforts for mine, yet we won. Fans are allowed to note such things on a football forum yeah?
We’ve definitely played better, but it was a good win. Plenty of improvement to be had…

Confidence is building!

I can see that they created some plays around the ruck to try and release Bula. Will be great when it’s flowing a bit better.

Our back 3 Bula and Nofo and Tupou very good .Tupou one costly error but after that good . The other 2 almost faultless . We need one more center Toa ok but Talau is so so
Joffa a bit weak and Kepoa does dumb things but rest of pack fine Steph and Klemm and Paps great games .Not Api best game which is unusual .Almost like he's trying too hard
Good game Api but gave away a couple of repeat sets 2nd half
Bula saved try to win game and Nofo touch early also saved try

I’d like to know what Benji said to Nofa a few weeks ago.
From WWOS.

If anyone knew how to get enigmatic Tigers winger David Nofoaluma's career back on track, it was Benji Marshall.

Benji played alongside Nofoaluma for three years in Tiger town and knows exactly what makes the speedster tick.

So when Nofoaluma lost his way in the early rounds of the new season, Benji - the assistant to Tigers coach Tim Sheens - stepped in.

Things weren't going the way I wanted," Nofoaluma told Wide World of Sports.

"I wasn't playing up to my standard, I got dropped … I had a foot injury that held me back, as well.

"And the team was struggling to get a win so it was tough for everyone.

"I decided to have a talk with Benji because he knows my game - he was a teammate for three years.

"He knows when I'm at my best and what I have to do to get back there.

"He helped me get my focus and belief back. He basically told me, 'Be the player I know you can be', and helped me regain my confidence.

"The win over Penrith was massive for us and hopefully a turning point for the rest of the season.

"It felt great to beat such a quality team and it really worked wonders for my self belief - and I think a lot of other guys too.

"We had been coming close a few times but not winning and that can get to you if you let it."

The stunning upset win over the premiers proved a landmark for Nofoaluma. He scored his 100th NRL try and showed glimpses of the old dash he displayed regularly playing outside Marshall in days gone by.

"It was a great effort all around and we have a good mix now of some old heads and young guys starting their careers," he said.

"We can hopefully string a few wins together now, starting with the Dragons in Magic Round, and work our way up the ladder."

Think you’re being a bit harsh on Brooks brah, thought he had a good game personally
Brooks was not good, not sure what game you watched. That was a game Brooks should have owned, we were leading with momentum, yet a 21 year old half with 19 games to his name comes on and owned the game. He took his side from 14-4 down to 16-14 in front. It just proves that the Brooks good game last week was just like all his others, a once a year effort. I hope the club are taking note and send him packing.
