Ivan got Packer to the club and obviously he did not want to move on despite just milking the club for all he could,at least Madge managed to remove the other duds he inherited like M'Bye and Reynolds.Even though i had faith in Ivan when he was here his recruiting was poor and destroyed the salary cap for years

Imo every club needs and we were lacking

- footy smart leaders making decisions
- good coaching training
- training that develops team morale
- good injury management
- good junior development


Main things like this were identified and implemented.

People, even ex employees are quick to bag the joint ventures but it's really as simple as getting people in like Sheens and Bennette that actually know footy. If given enough autonomy their results speak for themselves.

Im gunna give all you blokes a home truth....If you are relying on a team we play against having so called star players out injured and sidelined,or you think Sheens and co are going to come up with a fantastic play that will defeat all comers or you hope that at the last minute the opposition team reshuffle and bring in the second rate players because they are playing the WTs,you are all dreaming and wetting yourselves for self preservation....
Harsh I know but,until you all think along the lines of professional football players on big money and in the media eye 24/7 then you have absolutely no idea about NRL or any business for that matter..
The WTs pay big name players for results,all we do is give excuses,until we get rid of that mindset,play as a professional NRL side and club we will always be the boys club and basket case we are reknowned for...
We have an excellent forward pack,an ordinary backline that is improving and a coaching team made up of the old boys club...
sucess wil come with competence,until that happens most of our players will burn for nothing or move on elswhere...
Im a bloke who loves our club,BUT fair is fair.if we dont be at least competative against the R abbitohs then we will have alot of work to do in the next 3 years,points are what count,not the odd one player had a go,,,we need them all to play great NRL football, otherwise it is all in dispair .....year after year ....

Agree, the silly old fart is now talking up a Brooks contract extension. Starting to think he is either out to sabotage us as payback for his last stint or he is so stubborn that he refuses to accept he could be wrong, so rather than dropping a dud he doubles-down on this 10-year failed experiment with another futile extension. Time to move on from WT's as my Brooks boycott does not look like ending anytime soon.

I really think you need to give Sheens a bit more then 12 rounds (not even half a season).

Keep in mind he is not only coaching but teaching. Big ask.

Am I annoyed that Sheens wants to resign Brooks.... absolutely.

Am I going to boycott my team..... NEVER.

Being a Tigers fan is a special thing. No other team in no other sport has the passion we do.

I mean the only thing we demand from our club is for the players to give it a go. We could lose all 26 games (or whatever how many rounds there is) and if they were bloody trying you cant bet every dollar in your wallet that us fans are behind the team all the way.

If only the front office knew how much.

Didn't say I would follow another team, just done watching one with Brooks in it. Attended rounds one and two this year, but no more. After ten years of chronic incompetence I am not paying to watch any more of that putrid
