I think they're set to fight it out in the ring.I don’t understand the question?
When you say “side with” either the coach or recruitment manager, on what issue?
My money is on Fulton.

Good post.Sheens is doing what not many would do.
He is developing Benji and protecting him from the media because if he didn't Benji would most likely be gone by now after the start we had. He doesn't care about his reputation
Sheens identifies the young talent and gives them the confidence and chance to play 1st grade. Bula is a great example as not many coaches put him in at that time. Credit to him.
TBF the club has moved on alot of dead wood and IMO heading in the right direction.
Unfortunately we are in for some more hurt now with Api, Brooks, stains, AD out long term so assume sheens will need to blood more young ones.
I think it is more a case that with Sheens being the head coach with added responsibility of developing the next coach, he doesn’t have the time to focus on the much needed roster building work we have ahead of us.
WT for better or worse recognised this and got someone they believe has the right skills and connections to take that burden of Sheens.
Sheens can’t be Head of Football, Head Coach, Coaching Development Officer, Head of Recruitment etc all at once, there isn’t enough time in the day.
The club have a long history of coming second in contract negotiations so the board sourced Fulton in hope of turning things around. I guess Sheens was not privy to the Fulton deal because he had a very long relationship with Big Mac.I think it is more a case that with Sheens being the head coach with added responsibility of developing the next coach, he doesn’t have the time to focus on the much needed roster building work we have ahead of us.

We’re getting better players and stronger recruiting?Good post.
However sheens getting his knickers in a knot over McDonnell.. at the end of the day McDonnell recruiting was not good enough he recruits way too many average players.
I thought getting better players stronger recruiting would be a good thing?
Yes sheens does bring kids on , but apart from bula , there is bugger all that I can see would make 1st grade , and the younger kids are at least 2-3 maybe even 4 years away , our gun players will be retired before they make itSheens is doing what not many would do.

I hope he shares these better playersWe’re getting better players and stronger recruiting?
Do you have any evidence of this?
I reckon you are 💯 correct with your feelings re MM was never coming to WT.Really don't think Mac would have made one iota of difference in MM decision not to sign with us, because he never was going to leave Parra no matter how the club tried to paint it otherwise.
What ever control Sheens thought he had has been hit with a sledgehammer - at the hand of our illustrious leaders - and the fall out from that has only just started - re WMac gone.
Lee H and Pascoe only know one way - turmoil.
That's the dream isn't it?We’re getting better players and stronger recruiting?

I think the point is how long it dragged on and was managed. Isaac took us for a ride.Really don't think Mac would have made one iota of difference in MM decision not to sign with us, because he never was going to leave Parra no matter how the club tried to paint it otherwise.

Can anyone come up with a sensible reason of why Sheens thru a decent bloke like Noddy under Ivan Cleary's bus last year? or did Noddy volunteer to be the coach for that time?Sheens failed to takeover last year and will be gone in 2025.
Everyone needs to do their job.
You slag off literally everything the club does, yet now you’re apparently very concerned about “Tigers DNA”. What exactly is it about this “Tiger DNA” that you’re so desperate to hang on to?Tigers DNA in the trash can after 6 months. New plan is Manly eshay DNA
Sheens with pooped Skins in the 3rd.I think they're set to fight it out in the ring.

Iam really surprised that people actually think the recruitment manager wields a lot of influence over the club and is working independently to the coaching staff.
Sheens would be telling Fulton what sort of players he wants and Fulton would then try and source these players. Okay because he came from Manly he has good contacts there but he would also be looking everywhere else. When push comes to shove its Sheens and Benji that decides who comes to the club.
Big Mac was pushed aside because of the way MMs negotiations panned out
??This ^^^^
He’s saying good take mate.

I was agreeing with your comment.
Thanks Tim, don’t know why I didn’t see that.I believe that we needed a change in recruitment, so if that was the question, then yes. Though like others, I think that the question needs to be more specific.
