Genuinely think brooks would be a big loss. Isn’t a good enough player to do it all on his own but certainly better than what we currently are able to attract to the club.
Sheens said that he played better as a six in a roundabout way when Wakeham played well on debut and we were chasing Moses.
Unfortunately I now believe tigers will be a disaster until we are purchased by a private ownership.
It’s obvious that the board and CEO believe that they should be making football decisions, Pascoe was held in high regard at panthers when he was thier commercial manager. He shouldn’t be any higher than that.
The team was starting to come together and play positive football and commentators were remarking on our improvement, in the space of two weeks the board and management signed a new recruitment manager whilst not informing the previous/ current head of football and current coach and also moved on a contracted current player in a mid season transfer. What a way to disrupt team harmony and put your head coach offside.
It oozes pathetic managment.
Why would any player sign here knowing that you will be moved on if they reconsider your deal as no longer making financial sense a mere 3 months after you sign.
Why would a coach come here if you know there is a possibility that your appointees will be replaced without you having notice?
The deal to brooks offered was “fair market” as they “no longer want to overpay players” I get that, but what is the incentive to come here? You won’t be playing with a quality side, you aren’t treated well by management, you won’t be paid above market, team harmony is poor, the supporters are fed up with the teams mediocre ability and there is no stability whatsoever.
The brutal honesty is Benji and Farah stayed with the tigers because they were on big money to stay here. When the weren’t they left and when the lost all other options they came back. Whilst there isn’t any changes in policy if we don’t overpay for a handful of good players we will only attract those without other options.

My tip is Brooks to the Raiders -
we are going to need to find a half, a five eighth, a centre, a prop, a lock and another edge forward (if we lose Blore). If we want to upgrade that’s a lot of quality NRL players to find and 6 roster spots - I suppose that’s why rebuilding your squad takes a few years.
As for spots - We have a few off contract - maybe we lose Brooks, Wakeham, Laurie, Talau, Simpkin, Seyfarth, Tuki Simpkins, to start with.

Utter bullshit - this is actually defamatory to Farah and Marshall!!
Both Benji and Robbie were under contract - but pushed out by shit coaches/CEOs!!!
They NEVER tested the market and went for the highest offer!!!
- Pascoe and the club were famously sanctioned for a salary cap breach due to an empty PR promise for a job after football when Robbie was pissed off to Souths by JT!!!

I don't need to guess which team - I watch enough NRL and ESL to know he won't have trouble finding a suitor and a "fair" contract!
You can't even name the ESL team - so how do you know it has gone quiet??
At 77 you should have a better sense of reality!
PS - the ESL club was Leeds!!

A couple weeks ago I had asked a question on this forum along the lines of, do we think that we have improved as Pascoe seemingly took a step back when Sheens came in as head of football? or do we just think Pascoe is more experienced in the role and just better for it?
Now it seems like it was the former choice.. it sucks too because he really is good for our club financially, but he tries to play head of football and wants a say in it all. Feels like he is pissy that sheens had a bit of power (Head of football, Head coach, Recruitment, even the next coach and assistants are all his boys) and wanted to balance it out.

What's the common factor here? All our forwards have grunt and muscle. Take the squad last year "hey come play beside Joe O and Stefano. You can be a third Pillow!".
We haven't clicked yet. We do however have Marshall on staff and many halves coming in know Marshall can come up with some freak on attack. Yes as fans us not having a win sucks. Players though won't be liking us, but we won't suck as much as say the Dragons.

Seriously. that game us vs Melbourne showed that we have serious defensive gaps. It also shows we can't adapt after 4 tries were scored against us on the wing.

Could be Greg Ingles at Centre, were done if we are not training hard, doing the wressle and prepping for defense.

I think you’ve taken it wrong. I wasn’t saying they went for the highest offer and put themselves out to market each contract.
More that they were always treated well and payed very well. It was when that management changed that that Benji went to rugby after his verbally promised contract was not given, and Farah was equally treated crap that they left.
But I don’t for a second believe that they would of hung around if in their prime years they were low balled at every contract like what the current muppets are doing.
I don’t remember either Benji or Robbie being publicly chased ala Moses. I know they certainly would of been if they weren’t on good money.
Besides ensuring the business has the capability to spend the cap and setting the budget for non salary cap departments he shouldn’t be in any sort of football prientated business. It’s wierd that both Lee and Pascoe said “we don’t know about football operations and are taking a step back from that” are also the ones saying “we saw an opportunity to add a great recruitment manager and didn’t feel we needed to discuss this with Tim” and also “ we hold weekly recruitment meetings around players that include our coaches” and don’t see how pathetic it makes them look.

Having a petulant squabble with Magpies’ chairman and pulling his WT membership, so he needs to pay at the gate.
He’s a CEO who hasn’t been able to get the club into finals footy, after 8 years.

You left out the best half in Super League, Jordan Abdull.
He's out with a torn quad at the moment but if Vince McMahon can recover from 2 torn quads then so can Jordan.
