Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We should all write to the CEO and give him a "spray" for this seasons failure. We are destined for another spoon and no matter which way you look at it deservedly so, all due to poor decisions by the club which the CEO oversees.

For years us supporters have seen Brooks is NOT an organising half, he is a running 6. What was also obvious to us supporters is that Doueihi is NOT a half...when he was in the halves he stifled our attack with uncertainty on what to do - his best position is center or even lock, but he wants halves $$$...

Why on earth didn't they recruit a TRUE halfback in 2022 to partner Brooks in 2023 is beyond me. There were options in 2022 to recruit an organising half aside from Moses, but they just didn't do it and put all their eggs in the Moses basket (and failed). Wakeham was always just going to be NSW cup standard, yet here he is in the NRL side every week, its not his fault we are struggling in the halves.

Also, the CEO and club continue to make dumb decisions like letting players go mid season, to the detriment of the WT only to prop up other clubs..EVERY year we do this. Why oh why do we act as a feeder club to other NRL sides and get nothing but cap space in return, when what we actually need is players..

Lastly, why on earth does the club announce certain top 30 players are "free to leave" mid season?..This only serves to demotivate those players named and also send a message to the other players our season is over!. For Gods sake why not wait till the nearer the end the season to "let go" of these players.

APi, Ice, Klem, etc... will only be here for 2 more years max, so if we are going to be a force with them around we need to surround them with quality NRL standard 6 and 7 and centers.

This all falls on the lap of dumb decisions by Management/CEO and unless Lee and the Board acknowledge this we will never move up the ladder and be a "roosters type club".

So, as supporters, members, fans join me in writing to Pascoe and in a constructive manner let him know what you think of season 2023.

Is there any scenario where the CEO and Chairman can be held accountable and asked to step down ? I think the future depends on this !
Here is a left field suggestion Sheens back to football manager ,Benji to coach supported by Furner as defence coach , Robbie to CEO
Just watching all 4 of them in the coaches box during games looks like the old saying " too many cooks spoil the broth "

You'd think Rogers would know if Hunt was heading to the Titans?

Anyway, I think he is absolutely no chance of being here - only thing that could happen is he plays the rest of this season for us before heading to QLD. That makes a lot of sense given our halves issue at the moment.

I don't know anything about Latu Fainu, is he really a chance? His brother is with us right? Sounds like we should really be talking.

In relation to Hunt, Flanagan will have an immediate (I was going to write positive) impact on the Dragons. He will bring the playing group together. I read both he and the CEO will not agree to a release which to me is the correct decision. He is instrumental to the Dragons and why should the Titans or any other club benefit from him being released.

this whole Hunt situation is confusing. he knew full well only six months ago that he was going to be in Sydney for at least another two and a half years when he inked an extension at the Dragons. if he missed the weather and support networks as much as he says, why wasn't the move made then?

while I do believe that he will end up in Queensland, for what it's worth I've got very solid info that he's definitely spoken with Marshall and an offer has been discussed. it ain't over til it's over.

It's pretty clear why Hunt is leaving and no its not cause he misses QLD, he actually only just purchased a property in the shire area last year he lives on my sisters street. It's also not cause he wants to win a premiership as well, but I'm sure if he was to leave winning one would be a factor.

I posted it a while ago but all reports are the Dragons internally are a mess, the board are the worst in the league by a long shot and have no structure. On top of that on the field they're a mess. Ever since that BBQ incident the whole squad are very separated with the board/management. The dragons not going to there presentation night should've been a much bigger story than it was, that's a massive sign in disjointment even in the team.

Hunt had Griffen, who was pretty much the only person keeping him there due to there long relationship (they love each other and Hunt plays his best footy under him) and I don't think Hunt was willing to leave Griffen on that sinking ship to drown alone given their history. But then Hook was sacked, there's a reason it took less than a 2 days for Hunt's official release to come out after the new coach is announced. Hunt knows it's not the coach it's the boards fault. Ryles seems to know too.

He wants out of the Dragons because of how toxic the environment is inside and out, I know we can't speak but I promise you we're a much better run organisation than the Dragons. Dragons are not going to express that as the reason to the media, so that their wording of on-field results and success covers it and QLD links etc.

I guess it's Benji's job to sell us being different to Dragons, if he can do that well then we might get our man. Personally I do think we seem more professional, yes on-field results haven't been good but having the worst halves pairing in the league gets you so far. Physically we match a lot of teams where in the past we were outstrengheted. You don't need to be a massive footy head to know as a team we're just really missing a halfback. Maybe Hunt knows that.... maybe he doesn't. Guess we'll find out.

Ben hunt said he wants to go to QLD

its in the media today

would find it very hard for him to get a release and then sign for a sydney club

yes he might just be saying that to get a release and then sign fo a sydney club

but that's a lot of "stuff" that he would have to cop in the media for
