I very much doubt this one is true as it was just a bit of pub chat, but... heard it said Brooks going to Roosters. Keary to be medically retired due to concussion history. Brooks contract cannot be registered until Keary is officially gone, which wont be until the season is over. So all done on the quiet at the moment and legally nothing yet official.
Personally, dont believe it at all, but does explain the silence and the "hes committed" claim by Gus.

Very impressed with his control, involvement, kicking game, organising and ability to play straight.

He could actually be just the type we need if we have the best young fullback in the game, best young 5/8 in the game and best young hooker in the game. Constant control from a general like Cogger may well be what the doctor ordered to combine with that other talent.

Has anyone asked Keary if he wants to retire, he doesn’t seem the type to walk away

When I suggested him a week ago I just got abuse for disliking Brooks
 
Assuming Hunt signs with the Gold Coast I think we have to go after Tanah Boyd. Great long kicking game, strong defender and has honestly been alright this year. 22 so plenty of time to improve and I honestly reckon he's ok. Not a world beater or anything, but who are we going to get better at this stage?

Maybe Metcalf at 5/8th, another young guy 23 or 24. I dunno give em 2 year deals see how it goes. Slim pickings at this stage.

agree with pretty much all this. What would you value Staines at? Happy for him to be extended but he was reportedly on 500K. Given we stuck with Nofo's contract and he is now 2nd choice fullback think he might need a bit of a cut. Also happy for Seyfarth to be retained on a cheap deal.
 
Jack Cogger is a changed player in the Penrith system. It would be very risky for him to leave it. But he could get a good pay day from a club who is willing to take a punt on him. Could that be us? What if on some off chance he could be the next Nicho Hynes?

I actually think he is a decent footballer who plays with passion and aggression. A good foil for Bateman. I am amazed also to be honest.
Personally, would rather Morgan Smithies from Wigan though is available end of contract this season.
 
Fail to see why jack cogger would come to wests tigers and give up the possible chance of playing future finals football with Penrith- even if its a backup for cleary it would be a dumb career move for him
