I’ve been hammering management but swapping Talau for Latu Fainu…. wow fair fkn play because we literally have the two best kids in that age group now with TDS & Fainu. Fainu & Feledy also formed a deadly combo in the Manly junior system so hopefully we see that come to fruition in first grade.

For what it’s worth… just been to qcup game wynnum v Redcliffe. Yes wynnum got up 28-26.

Jock madden is the seagulls 7. He had a pretty good game to be brutally honest, defence has improved, short kicking game good.

Josh Rogers - 6. Another very good game , he and madden combined really well.

Rogers is the one to sign - hell take both.

He’s currently in broncos top 30, aged 26. Just like Cody walker.
He’s a good player, often directed madden where to be .

That mariner…. He’s a goodun. Broncos gain by losing Herbie.

We already picked up our late developing Qld cup superstar, Tony Pellow.

Few weeks okay Rothfield mentioned the Tigers were in deep discussions with one of the hottest prospects in the game . I wonder if the possible Latu signing was what he was alluding to ?

What a great get Latu would be. Very solid future spine. Still think an experienced half would be great. Latu and Large are both runners of the ball so not sure how the half situation will work out in years to come...

Don’t think people understand the magnitude of this we’re replacing Brooks with the games brightest 6 in the whole league - if we can go out and get a game controlling 7 next to Bula, Fainu and Api/TDS with our pack we’re definitely going in the right direction.

He’s easily rated as the best prospect coming up in the NRL, he’s meant to be playing SG Ball and he only just played Harold’s Matt’s last year in which he won player of the series and won the whole comp (next to Feledy) and he’s playing up in NSW cup and has looked excellent.

I’m really excited for Benj and Fainu in regards to his development, the perfect Benji player that he could coach I reckon.

Had a look on manly forum after speculation and they're pretty universally filthy he's going. That's usually a solid sign. Basically, he's their best talent, 'generational' player type thing with lots having followed him through the juniors.

Same frustration there at management as we have and this is sort of 'final nail in coffin' type move to them. Only thing they say that's negative is gang connections, but that seems more a snobbish northern beaches contempt for the western suburbs and most of their forum shot that down pointing to Latu's impeccable record and brilliant development and play.

I'd just caution that we've had hopes shattered before, so let's not pencil him in just yet.

These stories about "clashes" amuse me. There are occupations where it is not possible to change staff out as your role requires you to work in harmony regardless of personal feelings. Lives often depend on it.

My Mrs is an avid Manly supporter. She is absolutely shattered. She has been watching Latu develop through all the junior reps and rates him highly .
