So guessing talau in the trade deal didn’t work out? That’s a shame hopefully we still get the young fella

Manly have officially announced Talau "from 2024"...

Does this mean the "immediate swap" is off???
I reckon they would be just ironing out the other parts of Fainu's release. They will surely want financial compensation for the last 2 years of his contract (similar to Dogs signing Oloapu). More so that we are taking a player they have developed through juniors and removing him while under contract.

Brooks signing would mean there is very little chance Fainu is in their plans now.

With our track record though, you just never know until something is official!

So when are we going to hear that we have got the manly boys , heaps of noise about are boys going to manly , but nothing in return , bet we get screwed over again
There was more noise for Manly players to us, then the Brooks to Manly stuff came up and was sealed so, so quickly.

Crickets at Tiger town.

Great News for All Parties re Brooks, should be better with a dominant half.

No Hard feelings

4 years for Brooks, so that makes it $500k a year, and fan boys went off that we only offered $550k,

Tigers need to go all out and bring in some quality , get agents to break contracts for any gun in second grade like Trindall and just go all out for a gun 7 and. Gun centre
Lomax would be worth a crack
Frizell , make it happen
and give the rest of this year to the ones who we may keep
Laurie , 5/8 4 weeks running
Reilly same thing , try him out
James , again same thing

crazy 4 year deal
and to think plenty on here thought he wouldn't play nrl... he will be partnered with one of the best 7's in the comp and we are left with nothing at present
bloody manly I hate them but wouldn't be too upset to see them make the semis for brooks
Brooks was always going to get a contract somewhere. Total dearth of off contract halves in the comp. Hope he does well. Meanwhile we will be left with reserve grade quality halves for the foreseeable future.

Every player has pressure to perform or they get dropped. That's why 7's get paid as much as they do - they play a key role. Maguire went for a 7 before Sheens to take the pressure off him, or allow him to be a running 5/8th . Before that Benji was bought back to fill the same role. He is not a rookie anymore and it's not on every player and coach to wear the blame for the weakneses in his game either.
Brooks needs change and so do we. I'm critical for the club for lots of things but they have backed Brooks to the hilt and it just didn't work.
There are plenty of top halves that have played the game that are not controlling halves like Brett Kenny, Cliff Lyons, etc, etc Good teams don’t try and make players something they’re not! They use players to their strengths not their weakness. Look what sheens did this season took the pressure off him let him play his natural game and he started to play much better.

He has been dropped out of Wigan top team a couple of times this year. Injury and poor form. He did play well there last year but struggling this year. I like him and maybe his injuries have hindered his form. He definitely wouldn’t be in my 17 on this year’s form
Cheers for I didn’t know that just exploring the options out which is limited
