Can anyone local pop in and do a safety check on the Tigers recruitment team ...
Seems like the lights are on but no one working

Are there anyone on the forum that can still play as you might be needed for a run soon..

Looking forward to 4pm when the club announce TT in the starting team again and end our excitement of a sway deal with Manly.. I am beginning to think they don't give a shit about there fans

I have thought that the club does not give a shit about us for many years,it is all an ego trip for those wankers on the board as far as i am concerned

For the record, Inglis won the Clive Churchill playing 5/8 not centre for Melbourne, then went on to win the Grand Final playing fullback for Souths.

Latrell was class at centre for the Roosters and NSW, playing his role in star studded teams perfectly. Moving to Fullback at Souths he has turned them into contenders, taking on a position with much more responsibility having more consistent influence on results.

Both players have been moved from centre to fullback and 5/8 by different coaches due to them having more influence there.

Hell, even you say you would play Mitchell at fullback while arguing he is better at centre, lol.

Those two boys were destructive, unstoppable centres and only so-so fullbacks, with both being rather lazy at the back. Compared to Billy Slater and James Tedesco, neither were ever considered capable of being first choice fullback with great reasoning. They werent anywhere near as good as them and did not posses the correct skillset to be first choice.
Their versatility saw them moved but you have let that fool you into thinking its because they were better suited there. Even this year, when Teddy and Turbo are busted and out of form, Latrell was not in the conversation as NSW fullback. In fact most had him 3rd choice.

For the record, South Sydney were contenders far before he contributed with them from the back.
  • 2018 = Latrell won GF with Roosters playing centre, Souths made prelim final
  • 2019 = Latrell won GF with Roosters playing centre, Souths made prelim final
  • 2020 = Latrell shit most of the year and then injured late, Souths made prelim final without him.
  • 2021 = Latrell has a good year but gets banned before comp finishes, Souths still make GF without him.
  • 2022 = Latrell played 17 games, Souths made the prelim carrying his arse for periods.
  • 2023 = Latrell has missed a few games and Bunnies are up and down, yet competitive.
As for your last sentence, pure crap and you know it, well you should but I think im affording you far too much credit there.

If I were WT accountant. Because everyone was saying Brooks worth $500/yr. I would have taken full advantage. Officially that would have been his contract amount. Great for salary cap and more $ for other purchases. Then paid him what he was worth in the 2nd set of books. Roosters/Bulldogs/Storm/Broncos etc would have taken full advantage. But no not WT. all by the book, only recruits good blokes. All resulting in a bottom 4 side. It’s win at all costs, kill or be killed so to speak!

Roosters Bulldogs pay to win. Melbourne Broncos a bit different. They realize your potential. Wests Tigers aren't one or the other. Bottom 4 sounds better than bottom 2.

I stopped reading once you said Inglis and Mitchell are "so so fullbacks". Not worth the dribble.

I’ve never heard of a guy who has every excuse in the book for not leading a team to finals when he has been the highest paid player on our team stealing a $1milljon a year from us. He is the major reason we haven’t played finals in his time here.

He didn't steal it. He was offered it. Money grows on trees just the dilemma is all the trees are being cut down. One day they will be am endangered species just like Wests Tigers.

What you are feeling is a good thing.
It is the great Cull of the Fringe Grader!

Sheens and Benji are freeing up cap space and they are doing that for a reason. They want big money to target big names.

Which is exactly what we should be doing.

The problem being. They dont want to come. They have bigger dreams. Life is short.

There is no doubt Luke has stolen a living from this club masquerading as a halfback.
Not all his fault, the club is far more responsible.
He has had a go most of the time (it’s not true to say he always did), but his inability to transform junior success to first grade has been laid bare for all to see.
He has played a major role in our decade of incompetence and for that I say good riddance and thanks for nothing.

Having said all that, he is a good guy and I’m glad he’s found somewhere to keep earning for his young family. Those who have been shouting that no one wants him have been proven wrong and how…huge deal for him. Congrats.

Now for more important matters, who the hell is going to replace him? We are seriously, seriously in the shit now, having lost our third NRL level halfback in a year with only a reserve grader hired to replace them so far.
Bloody incompetence…

Blake Austin?

Better late than never. Welcome aboard the Wests Tigers Titanic.

Are you playing Mitchell at centre or fullback thus year? Oh that's right, fullback
lol you still just post on emotion only. My stats and facts Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon your opinion.
Youve been done over and proved my thoughts correct.
Im done speaking with stupid for now.
Have a good day.

I think you need to look at who is around him though. I don't think you weaken your fullback position to strengthen centre, as fullback is a much more important position. Players there on average has a bigger bearing on the results of games. Most club teams don't have the luxury of moving their best players out of key positions. The only exception at the moment is probably Penrith who are able to use Crichton in the centres because they have an excellent specialist fullback in Edwards.
When Crichton plays fullback, Penrith look awful and clunky.
With him in the centres they have strike.

I don’t think Mitchell is a great fullback. Moses worked him out a few weeks ago and ran him from one side to the other and he struggled big time. To me his fitness and positional play is questionable.

In saying that his strength and attacking ability is excellent especially when in the red zone. As far as Souths go, he is their best option at fullback by some distance and is far more valuable at one than four. In a full strength Blue side I think he is a better no4.

Anyway bottom line, he is a great player, just IMO I think he comes back to the field a tad at no1

Hahaha like your "fact" that Inglis won Clive Churchill at centre.

Claiming an opinion as fact like you often do on the forum is simply embarrassing.
