Sooner the better, give him a taste of N.R.L before going into the off-season. More time to get used to the squad, once a player has signed unless they are in a team pushing for finals they're just wasting time staying with the current club. Imo better to just move on.

Latu has 2 years to go on his existing Contract. There is no deal to be done unless he can get an early release. The release and date of release is one issue. Late offers from other clubs are also real.
