Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The interesting thing was the two panel members who actually played football could see what WT are trying to do while the 2 muppets who have never set foot on a football field continued their usual " we hate WT crap". Rothfield banging on about Fainu and why waste money on Sezer. Tallis who i think might know a bit more about football than the drunkard stops him with WT need experience in the halves. He alluded to the fact that Brisbane had to do the same thing to turn things around. But as usual just looking at todays papers the muppets have just totally ignored what was said and just put their usual spin on it.
Gus actually reiterated his comments from earlier in the year on 100% footy, that the Wests Tigers are not far off a good team despite results and ladder position, he said they are heading in the right direction

Buzz reckons 3 of the top player agents, O'Loughlin, Tartak, and Ayoub want Fulton in the joint to enable them to have any confidence in Wests Tigers.
Buzz always refers to player managers which gives the impression that it's the source of his info. Is it possible he has a drinking buddy on the board? if so, it would explain a few things. How suddenly the Fainu 4 are potential super stars, and Justin Holbrook is another opportunity.

We need speed out wide it’s a slow team. Nofa, Tupou, Toa Kepoa are all powerful runners but lack speed. Sezer is also slow it will cripple us unless Naden comes good which I doubt.
So my recommendation of Brad Parker in the centres doesn't add speed but we should investigate Xavier Savage as a wing option (I'm sure the only way Canberra consider this is something good in return).

Staines, Blore and Seyfarth IMO should earn new contracts.
Centres that's all I'd like us to focus on, in addition to halves.

Stains and Blore yes i agree, Seyfarth has been impressive in the last few weeks id like to see if he keeps that going or if we can upgrade with someone better using his spot.

I like Brad Parker too for his defence. Someone has been spruiking Xavier Savage, and yeah...I can get on board with that for sure. We do not have that kind of speed available. Keio Weekes would be my alternative to Savage- or both if we can't re-sign Staines. I wanted 2 centres at first, but Feledy needs a path into 1st grade. And I think maybe Tupou could slot in at centre too. Plus, To'a & Naden. What we don't want is too much congestion & players like Feledy get shuffled out of the mix.

Our wide defence needs upgrading. People that read the attack is vital. And defence includes taking high kicks successfully. So wingers that can catch are extremely important.

2 wingers & a centre & I think we are good out wide. Need competition for places out there.

The defence of our 5/8 is also important. No more swinging gates in defence please.

Haha no you don’t.
You’ve changed your narrative now we exposed your sooking.
You are clearly someone who never excels in life. Rather just whine about what others are doing.

Do you want to know why Gould always pulls our pants down? Because he is proactively seeking solutions and opportunities whereas we wait for them to come to us.
So right, anyone with half a brain would have jumped straight in the car and headed to Bathurst. Gus is always in front of our mob, but so are every other club, maybe bar the Dragons

Naden isn't good enough imo. Too inconsistent & has too many brain explosions.

Yeah I'm one also who think Junior Tupou will be better as a tackle-breaking centre than a wing. He was a centre back in his junior days in Canberra and also junior wallabies, possessing a good pass. Anyway I'll leave that to Benji.

Need to see more of him at NRL level, but he looks better than any of our wingers are at the moment.
Seen him playing right centre ( I think right not left) anyway every time he was really strong defensively and no slouch in attack. Tall lad so handy for defusing short kick offs and bombs.

The trouble with us we need to fill a lot holes in our roster with very limited spaces available

I really don't rate Alex McKinnon's insight into the game at all.
I'm glad the NRL has supported the bloke, but I rarely agree with his opinions on footy.

Controversial!

I don’t have an opinion one way or the other but what gets you off side with him? I genuinely can’t think of anything he’s been it tbh

The more I think about it, one of the players I hope Fulton/Benji have on the same page is BRAD PARKER. He is no game-breaker but would bring experience in the centres, strong defence, effort & leadership, all ingredients we lack in the outside backs.

He is a Manly junior so may not want to move but unlikely he is a Top 17 player next season unless they see him as a 2nd Row/Centre bench utility.

He could be our modern day Shane Elford!
My only concern with Parker is injuries. His body has taken a battering as he has played a very physical style of game for a long time

Tupou's biggest weakness, as far as I can see, is his ability to catch bombs. He can pass nicely. If he had Staines outside him...
