Nostalgia

With another Ashes Test starting tomorrow, this caught my eye today, reminding me about the sport in former days, light bats, no body protection and no covers on the pitches:

On November 2, 1931, Don Bradman, the great Aussie batter made 256 runs. He hit 14 SIXES, and 29 FOURS throughout the innings.
The most interesting part is that Bradman took only 22
balls, of three eight-ball overs, to amass 100 runs in that match!!

Folk-pop singer, songwriter and guitarist, composed many narrative-based "story songs" including "Taxi" (#24, CAN #5, 1972) and "Cat's In The Cradle" (#1, CAN #3, 1974), died in a car collision on the Long Island Expressway on 7/16/1981, age 38
