Wife made a good point, not just happy to be home: happy to be no longer sitting in limbo in their temporary Australian accommodation. Their extended COVID stay may of been bearable for a few months but continuing on for almost 2 years must of been mentally draining away from their family and not giving them too much opportunity to reset and get away from football. They were pretty much passing time until their next game and not being able to have a life outside of football.

Even during Covid they were more competitive than they had any right to be given the circumstances. The culture of the club has had a complete 180. I know Webster will get most of the credit, but the signs were already between in ‘20-22.

Not so sure about that. They were in a three horse race with us and Bulldogs for the spoon last year.
