So did Wests Tigers management. And yes. I agree with you Tucker. Just like to stay focused. You missed out on some excellent talent and entertainment then.
Of course they tried to win it. They had a couple of opportunities to do so and blew them, including the run chase in this 5th Test.Retaining the urn is all well and good, but they go there first and foremost to win the series, not draw it. A drawn series gives off the vibe that you had to rely on past accomplishments. It boggles the mind how long it’s been since they won a series over there.
You probably think NSW and Qld players really hate each other too. It’s theatre. You missed out on some excellent talent and entertainment then.
Baddabing BaddaboomIt’s not far fetched at all.
You can respect someone without liking them.
Have you ever played sport? You probably think NSW and Qld players really hate each other too. It’s theatre.
Job done,Ashes are still in our hands. When all is said and done England could not win at home after winning the toss 4 times with pitches prepared for their style of game.
Its a theatre and money. After the game they be hugging each other.Have you ever played sport?
Didn’t think so.
The first two pitches were dead. How were they prepared for our style of game ? Atmospheric conditions play far more a part in playing conditions in England than pitches do . Generally when the sun comes out the ball stops doing anything . If we had prepared wickets with a great deal of green in them I believe Cummins and Hazelwood in particular would have exploited them better than we could have so it made no sense whatsoever,
I know the mindset of professional athletes. They aren‘t as emotional as us plebs. They are on a different plane.Have you ever played sport?
Didn’t think so.
what does that have to do with my assessment of Broad?I know the mindset of professional athletes. They aren‘t as emotional as us plebs. They are on a different plane.
How were they prepared for our style of game ? Atmospheric conditions play far more a part in playing conditions in England than pitches do contrary to cricket myth and accepting an April day at Old Trafford. Generally when the sun comes out the ball stops doing anything . If we had prepared wickets with a great deal of green in them I believe Cummins and Hazelwood in particular would have exploited them better than we could have so it made no sense whatsoever. The pitch prepared for this test was no different from the one prepared for the WC test .
PS Jadtiger love it shouldn't it be Jagd?
Did you pay for registration?Yes it should be Jagd but when i registered many years ago i was full of the singing syrup and spelt it wrong, since then i keep using it as a form of lucky charm for online gaming
That’s very different to what I read but can’t argue coz don’t actually know the full facts.Depends - I heard it was a misunderstanding and the Poms went looking or the Aussies for drinks but they had gone: mind you, the Poms dressing room was shut longer than usual because of all their internal presentations re players retiring etc.

In the future , technologically wise. Will there be music that accompany these threads. For this thread we could have Mozart's 5th in Violin. That’s very different to what I read but can’t argue coz don’t actually know the full facts.
I think the idea that there’s no carry over is a good one.Retaining the urn is all well and good, but they go there first and foremost to win the series, not draw it. A drawn series gives off the vibe that you had to rely on past accomplishments. It boggles the mind how long it’s been since they won a series over there.
The first two pitches were dead.
Jimmy Anderson said as much.
I agree about the atmospheric conditions though. A bit of cloud cover over there makes the ball move like crazy.
