Certainly great that we have rejected the offer for Suli, not the type of player we need.

I suggested Cotric recently as a good target with his experience and Sheens previously being keen so it's pleasing they are following up. Meaney would be a very good winger, back-up fullback, Bula mentor & goal kicker for us if this could come off. And I laugh about Pele, because he apparently knocked us back 12 months ago for the Bulldogs. Wouldn't surprise me if Kautoga wanted to return in future.

Simpkins is a value trade for us and could net us someone decent in return.

Maybe the Sezer hold-up is Ilias???

Oitmann made the Junior Blues squad at the beginning of the season so is certainly held in high regard.

I wouldn't mind Cotric for Simpkin, but I wouldn't want to have Cotric and Nofaluma both on the roster.
Cotric has proven he is a winger only so having two wingers costing $1m+ for multiple years would be a disaster.

Heath has a job ahead of him given he is typically a spine player. has always played in the halves before moving to fullback for SG Ball and has become a revelation. he also played at lock at the Schoolboys carnival interestingly enough and I think he additionally did some time at hooker.

the rise of Jahream plus the stockpile of young halves has made it difficult for him, but he is talented enough to break into grade within the next 12 months. I see him as a 14 in the mould of a Ben Hampton, where you bring him on and play two fullbacks either side of the ruck in attack and have him defend in the middle. all of that said, he might manage to unseat someone in the spine and never look back.

Think he too good and needs to be in the starting side eventually.

Bula still has has some work to do for me.

Haven’t we announced 3 decent signings in the last 2 weeks with Api and Fainus x 2.
Sullivan imminent?

What more would you really expect?
No NRL clubs write article after article on all the 15yr olds they’re signing…

I don’t know about u but I would love to see lots more signings . And let’s face it the two fainu brothers are not 1st grade starters and Sullivan is not confirmed , so really we have not signed jack shit . The knights had just announced 2-3 signings as well as two English players , NOW that’s signings .
Not having a go just trying trying to have a light hearted approach, we all need a laugh 🤪

How could I forget about Api!!! The red mist clouded my memory.

Yes I mentioned since the Fainus.

It's more given the current state of the club, they should be doing more to make a 'big deal' about our pathway retentions.

Canberra did it this week in an announcement of 3 retention signings including 2 of their rising stars.

Now would be an opportune time (given the lack of external recruitment news) to communicate officially about Da Silva & Galvin (and any others). To me & I'm sure many others, this is exciting news!

Meaney is too small to be a first choice winger in a weak team. He'd need a huge centre next to him to combat aerial raids too.

So an 18 year old who's played 2 games of flegg is too good and needs to start eventually, but the player whos's been starting and doing well in first grade has work to do?? Right...

I think Heath might get a crack on the wing initially. He could transition as a centre. Has played well at centre previously. But your right he has a bit to do to get there.

Jahream has come into grade looking like a 50+ gamer. he has all the tools to succeed in terms of instincts, motor and attitude, he just needs to fine tune some things, which I think he will do over the next couple of preseasons.

it is going to take something truly generational to unseat him, as I think Jahream himself is generational.

Both Cotric and Nofoaluma are similar in that they are very strong but not particularly quick. Cost is an issue and also with our lack of pace in the backline, I agree we couldn't have both,

Pretty sure Meaney is quite tall and from what I've seen of him at fullback he's quite good under the high ball.

He's nearly 190cms.
