We can sort of live with a prop who doesn’t get out of first gear if he still makes decent yardage and is defensively sound, but you cannot get away with edge back rowers not getting out of first gear.
We have too many players who don’t get out of first gear, that’s the problem.
Young Kit showed them up a bit last night, by running the ball full steam ahead.

Bateman didn’t have a preseason that was always gonna catch up to him

Wouldnt feed Schuster. Signed for 800k a year. Manly would have to pay halve to get rid of him and that wouldn’t look good on the Manly front office

I will be shocked if Ice is here next year. Every interview I have seen he has not spoken positive in any way. His fluff interview last week was rubbish. I know we haven’t used him correctly in attack but man he has been very ordinary in defence. I reckon he missed more tackles on Friday night than he missed in 2 years at Parra. I am also hearing Bateman will spend time in England and miss a chunk of preseason. If thats true then he should start next year in cup. Rumours we are chasing Lobb from Dragons. There are so many better wingers/centres in cup than him. We all love this club but geez they testing my love

Was Schuster really an option or did we boost his asking price for Manly to re-sign him to acquire the Fainu bros and possibly Weekes? Now Manly may want to move him along but would have to pick up some of the contract. If so it is a brilliant strategy from the WTs.

Best way to test both Ice and Steph is to put it on them now , Ice Add a year onto your current deal Steph add 2 , stay loyal show you give a shit
