Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Again - You've mentioned the one coach (I rate) that has experience...
Whilst ignoring the area of my actual concern (The other 3 - With next to none - Including the head coach)

I guess you're just pissing in hope like the rest

But the coaching staff can be green as grass....
😂😂😂😂

This is your initial post bolded above. You did not qualify your post.

You've conceded Morris is an experienced NRL coach. He took the Sharks to two final 8 series and in order unsuccessfully to save your case, have adopted more positions than the karma sutra.

And you’ve avoided them like the pope…
So 25% of the coaching staff have some experience - the rest next to none..

It’s ok - we don’t need you to say it…
Catch you back here in 18 months when you’re defending the next shitty outlandish coaching change…
Throw out the percentages but there is no getting around Morris.

Big Pathways update:

Miller, Feledy, Mansfield, Galvin, Da Silva all going into the Top 30.

29/30 spots filled for next year.
Making a few assumptions from today's pathways announcement.

- 29 players currently contracted to top 30 for 2024

- Does not include Seyfarth or Staines who are reportedly in talks

- To recruit anyone else to top 30 from outside the club (i.e. a centre), at least 2 from the following list of 6 will need to move on - Twal, Jake Simpkin, Nofa, Kepaoa, Staines, Seyfarth.

- Lomi Saukuru must be staying on a NSW Cup contract (given he hasn’t been farewelled)

- With our 4 development players moving into top 30 in 2025, we’ll need to move 4 on from our top 30 next season. Off contract in ’24 are Doueihi, Tumeth, Reilly, Blore, Sione Fainu, T’oa, Tupou, Stefano (Twal, Simpkin & Kepaoa are too but could go this off-season). I would say Reilly, Sione Fainu, Tumeth & AD will need huge 2024s to be extended.

- You would think the CUBS that toured NZ last month (U18-19) will continue with us in either SG Ball or Flegg next season (wouldn’t think the club would invest in their trip unless they are continuing) - Tino Tavana, Ofele Lene, Will Craig, Brendon Niacori, Will Malloy, Oliver Lawry, Luke Keppie, Elijah Mataale, Heith Pritchard, Junior Taungatua, Zakauri Clarke, Lachlan Broederlow, John Ibrahim, Jeremiah Leatigaga, Elijah Petit-Young, Keenan Lewandos, Solomone Saukuru, Cameron Kanaan.

good analysis. Fulton, Marshall and the new DoF have their work cut out for them offloading contracted players before preseason. I think with his two brothers at the club Sione will be kept, and Tumeth has an option in his favour. will be interesting to see what comes of these next few weeks.

So with the change to the salary cap structure next season, Development player contracts to be replaced by “Supplementary list”. $650,000 cap for at least four, maximum six players, can play from Round 1.

The way I understand that then is that Kit, Faaugutu, Solomone & Sukkar can play Round 1 and could potentially be earning the same as the bottom earners of our top 30

So really we have a Top 34.

Now that’s rock and roll
Game changing stuff
Big off season and Benji strikes gold or we sign Ted Lasso to handle this crop of kid superstars

Kimmorley thinks he’s a coach. Results suggest otherwise
Disagree. He was given a terrible roster and a worse club environment in his short stint with the men. The NRLW team were favourites for the spoon in the preseason. Started out playing above expectations before injuries halted their season.
However he achieved excellent results in the Harvey Norman Premiership with a strong but by no means stacked team.

So our aggressive recruitment drive consists of getting rid of some experienced / fringe 1st graders
and replacing with a bunch of kids from lower grades.

I can see next years headlines already..... Benji's Babes

It seems an … Interesting … way to proceed … unless they can force out a few of the deadwood it’s looking underwhelming …

A seemingly reliable ITK with Manly on Twitter has alluded to Fulton securing some of Manly's top SG Ball talent to us for next season (one being centre Roy Quiroz-Mapasua from Westfields) in positions/qualities we are lacking depth in. I speculate some other outside backs particularly with speed & size.
What is the twitter posters name?

Tumeth is another Seyfarth….
