We have ben blocked for many a year. Every preseason the roses are smelling beautiful and the daffodils were glowing. If anyone can. Benji can.

Yep I totally agree. From what I have heard he has completely changed off field with his preparation. I was really disappointed with him this year. Fingers crossed he starts well from round 1.
Cogger has said he didn't want to go to WT for the pressure of his name.I can understand both sides of the fence here with this one, Benji wanted Sezer and ultimately won out. Benji is probably thinking we need that leadership and experience for a season 2 at most.
Fulton wanted to sign Cogger less experienced but more upside, but the problem with this is he blocks a pathway for our younger blokes (Sullivan, Fainu and Galvin) possibly even throw Large, Conti and Mason in that mix. But none of them are guaranteed to make it so its a toss up and Cogger would have wated at least 3 years so i understand the going with Sezer thinking.
I believe very little has changed off field.Yep I totally agree. From what I have heard he has completely changed off field with his preparation. I was really disappointed with him this year. Fingers crossed he starts well from round 1.
Ah, the old Pearce excuse.Cogger has said he didn't want to go to WT for the pressure of his name.
Again all around us clubs are signing decent players
Turuva is a good finisher who Carrie’s the ball strongly, but we ideally need big bodied, tall, fast & athletic wingers who are very good under the high ball and can score long distance tries.I guess we'd only make a play for Connor Tracey if we could secure him for next season. Not sure if any of our 'available' players would interest the Sharks for them to release him early.
We may enquire about Turuva but I would put $100-1 on him leaving the Panthers. He seems indebted to them for the support the club provided after a family tragedy & I think their 'brotherhood' will see him accept unders when the time comes.
Taylan May is an interesting one! Has yet to be part of a Panthers GF team, the last two years due to injury. Panthers will have Turuva, Tago, McLean, To'o, Alamoti & May fighting for 4 outside back spots. BUT reports have suggested Tago & Alamoti could be converted to the backrow in time. If Luai re-signs, then we could offer May much more (but again does the brotherhood reign supreme).
Personally I'd be going hard for Dane Gagai offering him an extra year for more money than the Knights. Newcastle will have Best, Marzhew, Tom Jenkins (from Penrith), Tuala & the two Poms as possible outside back options. Maybe AJ Kepaoa would interest them as an exchange.
I ah wow.Staines and Tracy as centres , this I feel would be a big step up or
Tracy / Momo centres = Staines wing ( fan of this )
Tracy / Olam Centres = Staines Wing. (;still solid )
Seems like you are pretty much saying what Suaalii will be in a few years time, not easy to find wingers like that lolTuruva is a good finisher who Carrie’s the ball strongly, but we ideally need big bodied, tall, fast & athletic wingers who are very good under the high ball and can score long distance tries.
I think he can be very good, and he can play 6 too. Light years ahead of KepaoaEverytime ive seen him play he's been solid, worth persisting with i reckon.
I'm not sure he would survive our club culture.Looking like a bad decision not to sign Jack Cogger when we had the chance,
He’s a solid 7 who competes hard and digs into the line and creates space on his outside.
In saying this the players we have recruited in Jayden Sullivan and Latu Fainu no doubt have more individual brilliance, we just have to hope they quickly develop the mindset the compete hard, kick smartly and defend strongly for 80 mins
Can he be one at our club though. That’s the question.the guy can play. As with all young kids - does he have enough in the tank to improve to be a top line NRL centre?
I think he ticks all those boxes other than the fact he’s a short arseTuruva is a good finisher who Carrie’s the ball strongly, but we ideally need big bodied, tall, fast & athletic wingers who are very good under the high ball and can score long distance tries.
