That Jonathon Trott must be some coach, once again a mediocre player coming to the fore as a good coach.Afghanistan. Beautiful story. Hopefully help with their situation. Sports over War.
They make top 4, he’ll have others chasing him. Hell, they make top 6 it’s still a great effort. That Jonathon Trott must be some coach, once again a mediocre player coming to the fore as a good coach.
Go the A’s !
Trott is from where Hal? Sounds English. That Jonathon Trott must be some coach, once again a mediocre player coming to the fore as a good coach.

South African born former English cricketer who played 52 tests and scored about 3,500 runs.Trott is from where Hal? Sounds English.
Certainly top order but not sure about opener ?Thanks Hal. What position he play in the batting order? If he is an opener than South Afrika must be up there in the best openers ever among the Windies and Aussies - Kepler Wessels. More importantly brother - thanks for the stats.
Certainly not, but he has taken one of the most remote cricket outposts and got them to beat SA and England. Is he a legend of the game? If not - why are talking about him?
You bloody shit stirrer, a good laugh though .I dont read the media and when I do its like fantasy. Again. Thank You Hal. For the info. I'd rather come here and listen to all you beautiful people. I just learn more.
Mediocre player? You must be new to cricket. That Jonathon Trott must be some coach, once again a mediocre player coming to the fore as a good coach.

Yes. Only been playing and then watching for over 60 years.Mediocre player? You must be new to cricket.
Idk. He caused the Aussies problems. 3 centuries, including 160 odd in the Boxing Day Test.Yes. Only been playing and then watching for over 60 years.
You’re right, mediocre is the wrong word, I’ll change it to moderate coz he certainly wasn’t outstanding or anything similar.
Yeah I’m going with average and soft. He had a few good years which included one good Ashes series and a real good day out one Boxing Day, but his next Ashes series was soft as, he packed up and went home after the second test coz he had bouncer issues and we were at him. Soft as. Then that shit spinner they had who was also soft as retired after the third test. It was 3 nil at that stage.Idk. He caused the Aussies problems. 3 centuries, including 160 odd in the Boxing Day Test.
It’s a good one to remember it comes up in quiz games, as which bowler scored a double ton in his last test, and who was the night watchman that scored 200.Just came across this and it still amazes me:
Jason Gillespie:
In the second Test against Bangladesh at Chittagong on 19 April 2006, Gillespie (201 not out) set the world record (on his 31st birthday) for the highest individual score by a nightwatchman.
This was his maiden first-class century. He also shared a fourth-wicket partnership of 320 runs with Michael Hussey. Gillespie was awarded man-of-the-match honours for his double century in the first innings and he was also named man of the series for his efforts that included eight wickets, at an average of 11.3.
Due to injury, it was his final match in international cricket.
As of 2022, Gillespie is the only nightwatchman to score a double century in a Test match
