Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

What’s all this crap about the kid playing first grade next year?
I watched him in Ball a couple of times and he did nothing. I’d say he is a couple of years away at earliest.

Anyone heard about this
This bloke is just jumping on The Mole's innaccurate stories. Can't see an agreement being made about a coach who was going anyway.

Benji has made it clear that Galvin is one of his big players moving forward. He was the only junior's name he mentioned in a radio interview not long ago (after Sheens had been given the boot).

He seems to have progressed quite a bit since the 2023 SG Ball comp finished, boosting his reputation further every time he played.
He wouldn’t be the first and won’t be the last talented young player to go straight from SG Ball to NRL within 12 months.

Has he though?
All the write ups have centred around his efforts at schoolboys level…a level lower than Ball.

This talk has been spread around since July.

It 💯 started with McDonnell . And I was wondering what the incentive was to continue it today , but I totally forgot about Moses is his manager . Constantly undermining the system to get his guys more money / him more money . Only the elite and loyal types keep him in his place . If there’s blood in the water he will go head first for it .

Yep, sure there is a lot of club that will give him more money.

But hopefully he does not get too caught up with all that. If he puts in a huge off season no telling where he will end up.

100% we all get swept up by the hype of juniors (myself included), but all the talent in the world counts for jack if you can't make the step up to the NRL.
Not saying there's truth to the rumour but if Galvin wants to think he's entitled to a 1st grade spot because he's the next big thing, then tell him to go suck an egg.
I agree with u , u can’t just throw kids in u need a balance, I think we may well give to many kids a go all at once and it will backfire on us

I like him as a player and hole he re-signs with us.
The good news is he didn’t do anything against England to make other clubs want to be overly keen to sign him, so the less rival interest the better is is for our chances of keeping him.
Canberra and the Dogs have shown interest in him

I am sick of this signing players for the future. WE HAVE BEEN SIGNING PLAYERS FOR THE FUTURE SINCE 2011. The Tigers need NRL ready and proven players to gel this squad together. It is becoming pretty grim and we need to turn things around ASAP. I would love to see a big money big player signed in the coming days whether we see it or not I don't know fingers crossed.
I stay positive and optimistic but bit of a cash splash wouldn't hurt on a proven NRL player ....
