I do have fond memories of playing soccer in under 7's &8's and 9's at Christie Park in the early 70's, not far from now Macquarie Shopping Centre at North Ryde.
There was a dirt trotting track around outside of the field.

I know exactly where you mean, that used to be pretty isolated back in the day. Haven’t been past there for a long, long time.
