At 3-47 they were whistling and talking bollocks to whoever would listen.

Amazing how quickly they went silent...even the 120,000 crowd was in total shock.

This isn’t a great Australian Cricket side. They lose a fair amount of games and series….but they are skilful and tough. They believe in themselves and fight.
In 2021 in the lead up to the ICC T20 World Cup, everyone was beating them. I remember Bangladesh done them 4-1 in a warmup series. During the rounds of that World Cup, they lost a couple of times but when it got serious, they went into beast mode and won the whole thing.
Since then, they have won T20, ODI and Test series all over the world and lost some as well.
In the lead up to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, they played two warmup series against South Africa and India. Lost them both. They then played both countries in the first 2 games of the cup and lost to both again quite well. Things weren’t looking good but individual performances got them to the finals were they had to face both teams and defeat them to win the trophy. The team came together and got the job done.

They aren’t a great team in the vein of the Waugh/Ponting eras but they are resilient, smart and committed. They are also winners. They deserve their success.
