He is to me.The idea that you can go back on these stories is ridiculous. You just ignore it. You can't control the narrative and it happens all over the world in so many different sports it's not funny.
I've heard plenty of people talk about LeBron's steroid use and I've never heard him or anyone else deny it. Is Lebron somehow less important than the Tigers ?
I’m talking about supposed lies. You correct those stories.
Gould went off a treat at the media last season when there was some story going around about unrest with the players and Ciraldo and someone was supposedly leaving etc.Or you don’t give them oxygen. Other clubs don‘t.
I agree, but I think the reason for ignoring media reports goes further than that. The idea that you can go back on these stories is ridiculous. You just ignore it. You can't control the narrative and it happens all over the world in so many different sports it's not funny.
I didn't see your post when I posted mine. I think that is exactly why the club does not deny false stories.I'm hearing what your saying, and it has merit. However, I guarantee the whinging on here would escalate if we did that, because the very notion of publicly denying every false rumour also in turn confirms every true rumour by way of silence. We would then all be complaining about us confirming stuff to our own detriment. The can of worms will be opened and we won't like it. It's tempting though, just to stick to the mddia grubs as much as possible, even if at times it's at our own detriment.

Wests Tigers need to get themselves a competent lawyer. If one of the countries major news organisations is telling porkies about your organisation I’d say you are very within your rights to set the record straight.
I’m triggered by our club being continuously shit, guilty as charged.Maybe there was no reason to. If that’s what you are alluding to, because some article stated we’ve told a player he’s free to leave, then that’s a bit OTT. If it’s slanderous, yeah do something about it, but stuff that’s related to footy, they have to drink a glass a of cement. And dare I say, some of the supporters too if they are that easily triggered.
Not interested in hearing from know nothing big heads, just put out a press release/email saying we are firmly committed to our front row leader. Chuck in a quote from the coach. The less we hear from the muppets the better.Once a week, the WT content team should do a Member’s Update with the CEO & Head of Football at the desk hosted by Chris Warren. 5-10 min clip of what’s news at the club the past week including putting to bed any false stories. Pascoe could talk about where Community dept has gone, what Events have been held etc etc, Betsey could update what squad has been doing, injury report, quash any rumours etc etc.
Plenty of interesting content even if no media stories to allay. No not Ask The Boss over 50 mins, just a concise update over 5-10 mins.
You can’t . That’s the point . The story will get spun and a new direction because the person you’re trying to change has no interest in changing .I’m talking about supposed lies. You correct those stories.
I’m saying find out if you’re a rough hope before tabling a contact. If you’re not let your fan base know you had discussions but it didn’t pan out. You are unlikely to get rejected/humiliated that way.??? What ??? Yea of course you would ….. I don’t understand what you’re implying sorry . I was just saying money isn’t enough by itself . And most players don’t leave thier current club .
So every time you negotiate with someone let the fans know you didn’t get them . What if you’re negotiating with hundreds of people a year at various levels ? And you miss a high percentage , because there’s 16 other teams .I’m saying find out if you’re a rough hope before tabling a contact. If you’re not let your fan base know you had discussions but it didn’t pan out. You are unlikely to get rejected/humiliated that way.
And you.Not interested in hearing from know nothing big heads, just put out a press release/email saying we are firmly committed to our front row leader. Chuck in a quote from the coach. The less we hear from the muppets the better.
The same Gould who works for Channel Nine "went off a treat at the media"???Gould went off a treat at the media last season when there was some story going around about unrest with the players and Ciraldo and someone was supposedly leaving etc.
Put a fork in him mateI want us to sign Olam, yet I fully concede we won't be better then melbourne at getting the best out of him.
I honestly think Olam just needs a season. Away from Bellamy and pressure. Different environment and different team. He may respond better to Marshall and if Marshall keeps it simple he has a chance. i.e. Olam had a bad season, doesn't mean "he is done".
Grab him by that rats tail and hurl him over the sideline Brett Hodgson style.
No need for him.Connor Tracey has signed for the Bulldogs.
Wants to play fullback.
Tigers didn’t contact him at all
