I reckon the Bulldogs have recruited well for what is available and as a club looking to improve. Crichton is elite - as good as it gets. Tracey Taffe Curran and Salmon would have all held positions in our FG side. There forwards are light on but not sure they are finished yet.
With the same recruitment here I reckon most would be optimistic about next season.

Taffe, Curran and Salmon are not close to being walk up starts for NRL at the Tigers!

I don't know how they will go but it'll be interesting. I feel our squad is improving slowly but we made some big leaps last season. The issue with us is getting players to perform consistently to the level they are capable of. Players like Klemmer, IP and Bateman are guys that need to perform better more consistently.
 
Anyone know what this rumour about Justin Olam is that Peter Peters refers to in his latest segment on Sunday. Go to about 7 mins in this podcast.

Sounds like Olam allegedly did something at the Storm mid-season that put a few people in the Storm off him.

Plus Peters goes on his weekly Benji tirade!

You have to be careful when quoting because quoting like you just did changes the context of the post.

So in relation to our squad I think we recruited really well last year. Api (who was a top performer), Klemmer, IP and Bateman (who in my opinion all underperformed).

I also think Stef underperformed and he would be one of our highly paid players.

Doueihi is another highly paid but massively underperforming player but I don't hold much if any hope that he comes good. I think at best he plays centre and gets his contract halved and that is at best. I am not though expecting him to improve. I'm not expecting anything from him next year. If he does perform it'll be a bonus.

I've always thought it's a big downside to the forum that you can quote like that. I've seen many posters pick one line out of a post and it definitely changes the perspective of what was originally said. Poor form to quote like that IMO.

Lee Hag on radio today: I will not be talking about retention other than to say that we are looking at Jerome Luai, he is a quality player, and yes you can assume we have made in offer.

100% especially when they are getting paid what they are. I get nervous when the money they are talking about Luai getting, it could be the beginning of major drama for us if he doesnt fire and its an each way bet he will.
