Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Galvin played and captained Australian Schoolboys. Two great players, in my opinion I’d take Galvin every time. Only Tigers were after fainu manly allowed him to go elsewhere. Fact that panthers want Galvin with the amount of talent coming through speaks volumes of the potential of this kid
Why do millenials label themselves as OG??

You have no idea about the real Rozelle OGs Rudy!!

Want a list of players who captained or were Australian Schoolboys stars and ended up crap???

Royston Lightning says hi!

I know gambles don't usually work out for us ala James Roberts, but Curtis Scott is worth a gamble given our average backs.

Gimme Scott, JAC (though I don't know how much his heart is in it these days), AFB and Luai - that'd be a nice off season.
We've had some shit bags play for us in the past but would never advocate for signing someone who assaults women.

Doubt the NRL would let him back anyway.

Watched 1 game of this year’s knockout on tv.
Didn’t stand out imo. Didn’t look like he could make it in the nrl anymore.
They got beaten by war
That was only 1 game I’m basing my opinion off though

No thanks. He needs to stay away from the city living & out of the spotlight. Playing for us just won’t be a good fit for him.

Why does everyone say this?
Maybe we should see how he goes at 6?
He may turn out to be another Laurie Daley.
sure. let's see how he goes at 6. he'll definitely do well there, but once he stops growing and fills out he will be a backrower. he's 190cm and 85kg at 18 and I reckon he's nowhere near done yet.

back row is where he played in the undefeated Harold Matts side and did incredibly well, and it's where the club has planned to play him at a senior level for many years. that's genuine info from a guy in the pathways setup. he could very easily come in and kill it at 6 for a couple years, but like many great players before him I believe you will see him move to the edge.

You must have forgotten the part where he lives to bash women's faces with bus fists and household furniture. He's one of the lowest pieces of crap to play footy in the past several decades.

Actually, you can. The skills required to be an effective board member, even of a rugby league club, are very different to this. Knowing the game from a player’s perspective and an administrator’s perspective are very different. If someone has the requisite skills/experience and played for the club then we are talking.
True, though atm we have the business know how on the board, we just don't seem to have the League experience in there at the moment. If we could get a few former players in there with knowledge of the lay of the land in terms of league I reckon we will go a way toward solving a few of the problems our board face.
