It was out Handled The Ball, but it’s under obstruction of the field in the rule book now.
Here’s a link with a replay of both the dismissal and he nearly did the same thing earlier. Knucklehead? You’d think one of his team would have said something at lunch?

Yeah I know that’s why I was keen to see an “Obstruction of the Field “.
I had a kids learn to play cricket book as a kid and under Obstruction it had a batsmen running at a fielder under a skied ball and the batsmen was waving his arms and shouting at him till he dropped the ball.
So I was really hoping to see something along those lines and I was a bit disappointed to see it was just a handle the ball. Even though that’s still pretty rare too but you do see it happen every half dozen years or so.
Reminds me of Tugga.

No I don’t think there is a conspiracy. They get mesmerised by his home form every year and then pick him to travel when it’s plainly obvious he is terrible away from home, check his stats, I think he averages nearly 60 at home and 30ish away. He should be banned from getting on international flights.
Except ODI’s he averages just over and just under 45 for home and away, so pretty consistent.
Johnsons problem is Dave and George texted him and didn’t ring him with their replies to his digs. It’s not like they were breaking up with him and he deserved a phone call??? Johnson’s having a sook but he was always a bit soft.
And sandpaper gate is over who cares anymore, and tampering with the ball has been part of cricket for a century. Well up until the change the laws, you can’t even use a bit of spit but you can sweat?

Just watched a miniversion of 3 of our last 4 tests being the 2nd,3rd and 4th tests we played in India this year and a few things stood out
Prophetically the same 2 batsman Head and Labuschagne were the thorn in India's side just as the world cup final
Steve Smith was horribly out of form and has been rarely in form and it makes me wonder how we can pick him vs Pakistan
Lyon was fantastic, I'm convinced if he didn't tear his calf in England we would have won that ashes series this year
Carey is technically doomed to fail .Cross batted swipes at balls on the stumps .
For mine Warner ,Khawaja ,Head and Labuschagne are inform maybe play both Green and Marsh and Inglis is a better bet than Carey .Our 4 star bowlers Starc ,Cummings Lyon and Hazelwood pick themselves
By the way Renshaw had one innings as a concussion sub for Warner and got 2 off 8 balls and tried reverse sweep off straight one on middle and wasted our last DRS with ball hitting middle stump half way up .No thanks
