Fair call I reckon ya gotta give a bloke more than one test he might only get one innings. I’d give him 2 tests, especially if he’s been working hard on his game, and only the team knows that.

I’ve seen them do it a bit over the years, often with Sheffield shield. He needed the hit out and they didn’t bowl him to reduce the risk of injury.
 
Anyone out there have 2 members tickets to the SCG test v Pakis day 2, or 3.

I'm going to the SCG 4th Feb the ODI vs the Windies . Good value 50 overs each
Thinking about the test day 2 but Sydney been notorious last few years having rained out days early Jan .
I notice from your posts on cricket that like me you are a bit of a cricket purist with the red ball game the pinnacle .We both seem fairly knowledgeable on the game .
So many these days only like the 20 over slap/bash and giggle .These T20 fans have little knowledge of the nuances of proper cricket Test and ODI for me

Yeah I haven’t been to an ODI in 30 years probably and never a T20, but I love tests. And yeah I’m going to The SCG Test. David Warner’s last.
I’ve seen the Pakis once before.
Got tickets right over the bowlers arm.

I do watch all versions of cricket though.
I just love cricket, it gives
Me an excuse to sit on the lounge for the day and eat and drink and be merry.

I’m looking forward to the usual things this summer: Oz to win every game, Oz bats to score heaps and Oz bowlers to take heaps of wickets.
But also the other side I’m looking forward to Shah Afridi, he killed it at the WC and I’m keen to see if he can carry that form through, and how he goes particularly in Perth. Even though I just realise it’s not the normal WACCA and last years pitch at the new ground was a bit average from memory.
They’ve gone with no specialist spinner. That’s a mistake on their part maybe, they have better spinners than us and we are shite at playing spin, plus you’d reckon the curator would be looking to give the pitch bounce like the old WACCA, and that’s handy for a good spinner.

I'm also hoping for a 3-0 result .We are a better team with Lyon back and with a fantastic pace trio and Head starting to look like a genuine superstar .Hope Warner goes out with a bang . The Cricket Season starts TODAY !

Well Steve, Afridi bowled poorly in his first over and spell, he certainly didn’t bring his WC form to start this test. He was off line and a bit short. The debutant Shahzad bowled well, only a little fella for an opening bowler. But our openers were just too good and Davey really took it to em, great to watch him score a ton.
MJ would’ve left him out.

Warner's form may have down a little but form is temporary and class is permanent .
The world cup showed 2 things his eye was still in and he is superfit as with his fielding and running between the wickets
Glad MJ not a selector .Pakistan bowled well for an hour or so after lunch
