Yeah the got a couple of wickets in that hour or so but I reckon they could be in for a tough last sesh, another 100 should have us at 300 by close of play.

Carey looked ok, he did play a couple of stupid shots but looks like he’s trying to play straighter with his head more over the ball. Still needs to keep it tighter, or they’ll get through the gate. But that could have been some nerves due to starting at the end of the day with nothing to lose but ya wicket. We’ll see how he goes tomorrow morning against freshish bowlers and a new ball. He needs to keep his D tight and we’ll get to see if he’s made any improvements over his time off.

To those out there that doubted Davey Warners form coming into this home series, and you know who you are, 150 runs on the first day of the first test. Davey should always be picked at home.

Yeah I just enjoy it when the haters and nay sayers who’ve probably never even handled a real cricket ball, start going off and then get egg on face.
I remember diss’n Perkins from lane 8 and my uncle said never bet against a champion when he’s up against it. We had a $5 bet and I lost and as you can probably tell I’m still not over it as I hate loosing especially $, and especially to my uncle.

You mentioned being a purist in earlier post, I just replayed giant Cam Green’s gully fielding about 10 times and slo-mo it.
Cam Green is one of the best gully fielders ever .In terms of his bowling it is ok but needs a bit more variety like like swing ,seam ,cutters .In terms of batting hes a very nervous starter in Tests but once he's in not too bad . When Warner retires I don't want us to pick one of the mediocre Shield openers with a strike rate of 40 .Perhaps Green could adapt to be an opener .One thing for sure is Green will get better each year and a future star

That was a great Team effort
I think our current team is the best in the world and when you consider our 4 bowlers ranked on list of all time Australian wicket takers its amazing
No 3 Lyon 501 wickets
No 5 Starc 338 wickets
No 12 Cummings 242 wickets
No 12 Hazelwood 242 wickets
That's amazing in the one team considering 150 years of test cricket and 4 bowlers in top 12 in the one team
Also majority of test team were just involved in winning our 6th World Cup as well

Imagine if Patty hadn’t had the early injuries.
Yes if Pat not out of the game 5 years he would probably be 400 + wickets .
Just thinking our Selectors don't have much work to do when you win by 360 runs the team basically picks itself .
For MCG only possible but unlikely pick is Boland the local hero coming in to give Josh a rest if he had a niggle . Starc as a leftarmer who mixes unplayable jaffas in with his wild off radar ones is essential imo
