How about a positive spin on the benefits of it taking so long. He gives himself plenty of time to decide we are the club he wants to be at long term. It will lower the chances considerably of him wanting to ever want out of the deal closer to November. Remember Papali’i. He signed first or second week of November. We got the deal done really fast and it was great. But then, during the back end of ‘22, he would not confirm if he was gong to honour the contract. He was having second thoughts and the media were all over it. I’m still not convinced he’s 100% happy here. And it’s because he committed so soon after November 1. That won’t happen with Luai. The time that has elapsed will ensure that he’s very sure of himself and us. So there’s that.

Mate .$1.5 mil a year ,and he will worry about a comment about his hair. Ive got hobbies ,you need a sense of humour.

agreed, just going through formalities...

It's $1.2 mill not 5 for what it's worth 2 lol

Sounds like youre saying he hasnt decided yet, I doubt when he does sign will have any impact on his thoughts of leaving

Yes you would think Richo was still doing bits over the break on such a high profile signing , I am concerned we get let down big time but we will just need to move on , it’s simple , disappointing yes but life goes on , we have half’s and as Benji said we got half’s , we all could be surprised how well Bud and Sezer go and how well the young bloke comes along , no need to panick until round 15/18 if we are no improvement then we may have concerns , we have a very good offer in place , new coach , new CEO in Richo and new board coming along so he should be able to see changes for the better , all he has to do is jump on board the Benji BOAT and come cruise with us

Im not doom and gloom. The fact we havnt heard from the hieravhy is great. I think we lost alot of targets because Lee especially couldnt keep his mouth shut. Keep it in house and you have a better chance of getting a target.

The graphics design team and the marketing team would have only come back to work today. Give them time to whip something up for the announcement. A press release involves much more than one sentence from the boss. That being said, I expect we will see something later this week if not earlier.
 
If he's not coming this year it doesn't matter so much.

Unless waves can be made.

The positive hit to the club from him coming this year would be Benji like...........in 05.

Benji was homegrown (Well, Keebra Park). Luai is a marquee signing. It’s not comparable.

Look, if he came this year it's a massive statement........reverses alot of Ivan's crap and the idea he's leaving a 3 peat club to come here breaking contract is massive.

Not the same for next year.
