I'd love to hear the other side, from the 3-4 coaches that benched him and why.

... and I don't for one second believe Benji said he would be playing in state cup without cause. It would have been off the back of him turning up to pre-season overweight, late or a "if you don't do x,y,z, then you won't be playing in first grade".

No one would say that carte blanche. Makes absolutely no sense.

It’s about yardage. The wingers these days are an extra battering ram. Penrith guys are the gold standard.

Noffa used to do the hard carries but around the time he signed his last contract he went full fairy

I certainly don’t begrudge him for signing a ridiculous contract anymore than I blame Luke Brooks, Robbie Farah, Josh Reynolds, well I’ll stop here before I use up all the forum’s bandwidth…

Guy could play and was an ace try scorer in his time.
Finally a bit of fair balanced comment
Here's where I stand
- I'm glad he's gone as his attitude was poor 2 years ago and was getting worse
- you and I don't blame him for signing the $2.5 mill contract but many high and mighty do saying it was his fault
- he didn't get out of jail Scott free as I read on the forum his attitude cost him $750k .
- My concern is we still have on our books some really crap footballers who have bad hands and do brainless things on the field
- Being a winger at the Tigers is a frustrating position as the ball never gets to the edges as the play generally breaks down before the ball gets that far
- Hes GONE better concentrate on the 2024 season with who we do have .

Sunny Salford will sort you out noffice.
Gonna miss you, but it's for the best...

Is he taking his Lambo with him ?
Should be quite a sight around Salford if he does ?
Or was that just leased through a business name for pose value ?
Or did Uncle Lee say I want it back ?
It was one of Lee's - on loan....

But he provided a nice office for the Telegraph interview

Agree 100%

He stated he did not want to comeback after the loan nor be here so would you play him in a team that wants and needs to improve.

I appreciate his try scoring throughout his career but he changed the last few years and wanted to be the face of the club in the media but did not want to be here.

Best of luck in Salford and I dare say his NRL days as a slow 31 year old winger with defensive issues will be done.

Didn't the Scarecrow say something like that to Robbie?

100% correct, which is why guys like Solomon Alaimalo that have come from Rugby Union without ever having played Rugby League will take time to adapt to the game, regardless of how fast or skillful they are or how impressive their physical attributes may be.

They will always initially struggle to adapt to a faster game where you don't get anywhere near the stoppages and rest breaks that you get in Union and where the wingers are relied on to take the early hit ups in a set while tired forwards stroll back on side and eventually get their shit together.

Not saying that Alaimalo won't be the sensation that some on here expect him to be, it's just that it may take time to adapt to the speed and extra work load that is required.

I really hope he can be that guy because we really need some depth and competition in the backs.

We also had a successful transition from the Union e.g. Tuiaki. ;)

I'm pretty upset that Noffa is going over to the ESL 😞... it means we won't get to play against him and have a chance to run in a bucket load of tries down his side.
Salford will release him early once they realise how much of a liability he is....You will be able to see him play Group 8 soon....where he will boast he is the greatest try scoring winger in the competition

Depending on how seriously the refs enforce it, I reckon the new offside rule for kicking in general play will really benefit faster and more agile wingers. I expect Staines to do well from a bit more space on kick returns as the kick chase won't generally be on top of you as soon you catch the ball. I think the battering rams are still needed to get you out of your end, but I think you can have far more balance in the back three than just two really acrobatic props and a fullback.
