Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

At any rate, I’m glad Benji has not just gone overseas for winter break but has also spent some time out to feature in Home Beautiful mews magazine:

Behold his award winning kitchen, featuring marble accent, colour coded fridge and interesting spherical lampshade.

Down the passage a bit, this wondrous home features a grand piano for Benji to do his justice to Mozart or Beethoven.

One of my favourite rooms, seems to feature a Fred Flintstone inspired coffee table sitting on ancient Nordic patterned rug.

This wonderful decor reflects Benji’s affection for modernism and represents his continued evolution as a cultural phenomenon.

The lack of any obvious game paraphernalia, suggests he takes his personal independence from his career very seriously.

Of course the penchant for modernism, disavows and displaces historical artefact.
It’s all his wife Zoe mate.
They’ve featured in a home magazine a few years back, she was the one commenting.
Not sure he is the one making the style decisions.

lol the fact some of you have spent the best part of week debating about nothing whilst the tigers are on a break , really says a lot about your headspace !
And the criticism around Benji , his holiday , his missus home Reno , is just ridiculous to borderline fanatic level stuff .
everyone involved in the club was on a hiding to nothing and needed a reset and a break .
It was an exercise in futility to not go on a holiday and continue the grind .
Most problems are solved by walking away from it … having a break , and reassessing with a change in mindset and philosophy.

Watched Wigan play this morning , if the club wants a fast good centre then Bevan French should be on Richo list , I have been a fan of Bevans for a while , but he was the best centre out there , also spotted a tall backrower playing for Wigan , nsemba he is very raw but his defence was good and he hit the line , looks like he has a good engine

Seen his name suggested 100 times, and 100 times I have thrown up in my mouth a little.

Done a little research
Junior nsemba
19 years old
1.95 tall
105 kg
Looks a really good prospect
He also plays on the right edge which would not clash with Samuela Fainu who favours playing on the left edge.
From the glimpses I’ve seen he’s still very much work in progress and I’m not certain if he’s a capable defender or not, but a signing like him would give us giant strike edge back rowers on either side of the field.
Then find a hard working player who can capably play edge back row or centre and we would have the perfect rotation.

Well he’s certainly going along with this reach for social credibility, perhaps to make his wife pleased as you suggest.

As for his holiday trip to Fiji, I think it’s terrible optics as was mentioned before.

I am thinking he would have to hand the reigns of some of his tasks to others who have remained which would increase their workload in very difficult circumstances.

Players and footy people, as Richo has said, they tend to let their emotion get the better of them and his absence is a red rag to a bull to his critics.

If he returns and we start winning games, no doubt all will be forgiven. Such a fickle game. The tail leads the head half the time.

In theory he could be watching a starfish frolicking with a sea anemone in a shallow Rockpool during a beautiful sunset and have a eureka moment about the second row. Stranger things have happened.

We will need to wait and sea.

Meanwhile, the Wests Tigers are on the verge of parting ways with hooker Jake Simpkin. The 22-year-old is on a deal worth around $400,000 this year but the Tigers are in discussions with the Manly Sea Eagles about an immediate exit.

The sticking point remains how many years the Sea Eagles are willing to offer him beyond the end of this season.

His manager, Isaac Moses, is in discussion with Manly about him joining the club as early as this week and could be included in the Sea Eagles team list to play against the Panthers at BlueBet Stadium on Sunday.

Bad luck for him as he was negotiating contracts… An immediate exit for Simpkin is interesting. Wonder how the roster spot will be filled?

Simpkin on $400k?
Whooda thunkit?
Crazy isn’t. Good luck to the kid but he’s a 250-275k player at the moment IMO. Decent ceiling if he can string some games together though.

Don’t believe he is signed for next year so doesn’t free up a top 30 spot when we really need them though. Maybe more money for Stef or Galvin to convince them to stick around?

400k for someone that no other club wanted, who has never shown any indication that he could ever be an adequate NRL player.
Every other player in the NRL should switch to his manager. The man's A GENIUS.
